Rising Stars: Meet Marquise Willis of Dallas , Tx

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marquise Willis

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
A small-town country boy from Winter Garden, FL, I discovered my passion for fashion while in college in Central Florida. From participating in Orlando Fashion Week to becoming a well-known groom model, I quickly established myself in the industry. After graduating from the University of South Florida, fashion industry became my escape—a way to tell a story without words.

Seeking greater opportunities, I relocated to Dallas, TX, where my modeling career flourished. I had the chance to work at the Country Music Awards and walk the very stages I once dreamed of. Inspired to uplift others, I founded Model Brunch (@modelbrunch_), a nonprofit organization that provides a safe space for creatives to connect, network, and grow together.

I am deeply passionate about this industry and committed to building a supportive community—one runway at a time.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There are definitely days when I feel like throwing in the towel. This industry is constantly evolving, and doubts can easily creep in. That’s when confidence and a strong community make all the difference—having people who encourage you to show up for that casting or attend a new networking event can be the push you need to keep going.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
As a runway model and entrepreneur, I see the runway as a sport—one that requires dedication and practice. Every photoshoot and every stride on the runway is a form of art, a way to express creativity and passion. Most proud of being represented by two modeling agency, and opportunities of work in this industry that comes my way.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Networking is a vital part of this industry—building relationships with photographers, designers, and other creatives can open doors to new opportunities and collaborations. Understanding their vision and working together creates the best results.
