Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie Torres.
Hi Natalie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
One of my very first jobs was working as a receptionist at a small beauty salon a friend of mine’s mother owned. That started my love for the beauty industry and helping empower women to feel & look their best! I do believe “look good, feel good, do good”. Since 2021 I have gotten my license, worked at a spa, rented a suite & now own my own store front where I take clients & lease spaces to other beauty professionals. It means so much to me to not only be the person to that my clients choose to see to feel their best but also to have a safe, fun & special place for other beauty professionals to work as well. I have learned so much throughout this journey. This career has helped me be a present mom to my 2 boys while allowing me to leave a legacy behind for them. I’m sooooo thankful for all the support I have received to get to where I’m at!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I am a firm believer of when things are meant to be, they will be! I do feel like Self Love was meant to thrive and succeed even in hard seasons. I have worked really hard to maintain my business as an esthetician providing services to clients & also as a store front owner for my tenant’s to have a place to go that they feel good in. There was so much to learn and grow from but I take it head on and I’m excited for the future of Self Love!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in brows & brazilian waxing! I LOVE doing brows. I mean, what is better than freshly waxed brows? Such a confidence booster. It just makes me so happy to see my clients feeling so pretty, ready to face their day with confidence.
I have trained with the world famous Kelley Baker! She literally has done Drake’s and the Kardashian’s eyebrows. OMG. So in my brow services, I use the same techniques that she taught me. I also teach clients how to fill in and shape their brows at home to maintain the service. I do think being able to do good brows is a superpower.
What are your plans for the future?
My plans for the future are to continue providing excellent services to my clients and a safe and fun place to work for my beauty professionals ❤️ I hope to see a lot of growth and hopefully some more salon suites!
