Rising Stars: Meet Nita Bedolla of Dallas, TX

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nita Bedolla.

Nita , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
When I was a teenager flipping through a Teen Vogue magazine I came across an article about how brow artists were rising in the industry, and it blew my mind. I had never considered that there were artistic minds behind every page of that magazine, that people could turn their creativity into a career. As a small-town girl, I didn’t even know that was possible, but in that moment I made a decision: I would leave my small town, and someday I would build a career in beauty.

I did attend cosmetology school, but the curriculum and format at that time weren’t quite aligned with the vision I had. So I placed that dream on the back burner for the next 14 years… until I moved to the metroplex and my sister introduced me to the editorial world. For the last eight years I was in and out of the beauty industry, but no matter how many times I stepped away, beauty always had a way of finding me again. Then about two years ago, I realized I was no longer fulfilled in the 9-to-5 corporate world. Yet every time I had a beauty client, I would leave with a sense of joy and purpose. Prayed and manifested every day that God would show me the way. I had to have faith in God, faith in His timing, and faith in the purpose He placed on my life. Along this journey, I’ve been blessed to build relationships with incredible female entrepreneurs, and I remain humbly grateful for the community that has supported me along the way.

My story is still being written. I know God is whispering, “Not yet… MORE.” And I truly believe that more is coming.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. There have been plenty of tears shed, but mostly prayers to God said. Entrepreneurship is rarely smooth, especially when you’re breaking generational patterns and stepping into something that requires both creativity and courage. One of my biggest struggles has been letting go of the belief that I had to follow a “traditional” career path to be successful. Walking away from the security of the corporate world was emotionally hard and financially risky. But I knew that God didn’t place this passion in me by accident.

There have been times when I doubt myself, especially because my journey hasn’t been linear. I was in and out of the beauty industry for years, and I often questioned whether I had missed my chance or whether I could truly make a living doing what I loved. I also had to navigate internal battles: trusting myself, learning to select collaborations aligned with my values, and pushing past fear in order to step fully into MY identity as a beauty entrepreneur.

However, I wouldn’t change anything, nor do I wish I had started sooner. I needed every struggle, every delay, every detour to align perfectly for me so I could be here, so I could be the woman and entrepreneur I am shaping out to be. The mindset I had then was not aligned with the purpose and discipline required for this season of my life, and I honor that growth.

Every challenge shaped me. The setbacks taught me resilience, humility, and faith. God closed certain doors and opened others, and every “hard season” ended up being the lesson I didn’t know I needed. I’m grateful for the process because it molding me into the artist, businesswoman and woman I am today.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As a Beauty Artist I specialize in boho braided styles, textured updos, long-lasting curls, natural glam, and complexion perfection. I focus on elevating a woman’s features rather than masking them, enhancing beauty in a way that feels effortless, refined, and true to the individual. I’m known for creating soft, flawless, that not only photograph beautifully but also wear comfortably throughout the day, leaving clients feeling confident, radiant, and authentically themselves.

I have a passion for helping women feel confident in their everyday beauty. The heart of what I do is empowerment.

What I am most proud of is the impact I’ve been able to make beyond the outer beauty. My work is deeply rooted in connection, intentionality, and the belief that beauty is emotional. I want women to walk away not just looking beautiful, but feeling seen, valued, and powerful.

What sets me apart is my philosophy. I don’t approach beauty from a place of trends or transformation, I approach it from authenticity, technique and words of affirmation.

But even more than the artistry, it’s the experience I create. Clients consistently tell me they feel calm, safe, and uplifted in my chair. I hold space for their vulnerability, their stories, and their emotions. Makeup isn’t just cosmetic to me; it’s intimate.

I believe my greatest gift in this industry is not just making women look beautiful, but reminding them that they already are.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
There are a few different ways to work with me, collaborate with me, or support my brand. For clients, I offer hair and makeup services for bridal, special events, photoshoots, and personal glam.

For fellow creatives, I love collaborating on editorial projects, styled shoots, workshops, and networking events. Especially those centered around Hispanic/Latino community, women empowerment, and creative expression. I’m always open to connecting with like-minded entrepreneurs and building mutually supportive relationships.

I also love giving back to the community, so any charity events that need hair and makeup services should definitely reach out. I’m happy to contribute my skills for a good cause.

For supporters who may not need services but still want to help, referrals, reposting my work, and sharing my content with friends or family means more than you know. The best way to connect with me is through Instagram, where I share my work, behind-the-scenes, upcoming projects, and booking opportunities. Whether it’s through glam, education, collaboration, or community service, I genuinely value everyone who joins me on this journey.
