Rising Stars: Meet Paisley Joy Morris of Texas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paisley Joy Morris.

Hi Paisley Joy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve spent 15 years as a makeup artist and 10 years as a fitness coach and bodybuilding athlete building my brand from pure passion, discipline, and a drive to empower others. Beauty and fitness were always my lane, but this past year pushed me into an entirely new level of strength.

I found out my brain cancer had returned, and in March I underwent brain surgery. It was a moment that could have broken me but it didn’t. I refused to fold. I refused to let fear dictate my future. I showed up for myself the same way I teach others to: with grit, faith, discipline, and unshakable resilience.

And then the breakthrough came. My recent scans came back better than expected, and my doctor told me I can continue living my life like nothing ever happened. That news didn’t just change my life it reminded me exactly who I am.

Today, everything I do in fitness, beauty, mindset, and healing comes from a place of power and purpose. My brand “Paisley Joy” represents transformation, confidence, and stepping into the strongest version of yourself.

Every chapter I’ve lived, even the hardest ones, built the woman I am today:
a mother, an artist, an athlete, a survivor, and a woman who refuses to settle for anything less than the life she was meant to lead.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has definitely not been smooth. Six years ago, I had a seizure out of nowhere and that moment is how I discovered I had brain cancer for the first time. They were able to remove 100% of the tumor and told me it would never come back. I believed I had closed that chapter forever.

Fast forward to this past year: I had just placed in two bodybuilding shows, competing for the first time and feeling like everything in my life was aligning exactly the way I planned. Then, during my yearly scan, everything shifted again. The cancer had returned more aggressively and this time they said it was astrocytoma, a type that always comes back. I couldn’t believe it. I had goals, momentum, and my kids watching me live in my purpose… and suddenly I was facing the unthinkable all over again.

In March, I had brain surgery. Afterward, I wasn’t able to drive, work, or even fully care for my kids. Doctors told me there were things I wouldn’t be able to do, but I refused to let that become my reality. As heartbreaking as it was for my kids to see me sick again, it only made me stronger. It gave me more purpose, more fight, and more fuel to achieve everything I know I’m meant for.

Even when it felt like there was no hope, I never stopped dreaming or working on my goals. Every setback became motivation. Every limitation became something to overcome. I rebuilt myself mentally, physically, and spiritually and came out of it with more clarity and drive than ever before.

Those challenges didn’t break me.
They built the unstoppable woman I am today

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a 37-year-old makeup artist, fitness coach, and creative who learned early on that my purpose was to help people feel powerful, confident, and seen. Back then, being a makeup artist wasn’t considered a “real job.” My parents worked for the government and wanted me to go to school, get a diploma, and choose a safe career. I even tried nursing school, but it never felt right — my heart knew I was meant for something different.

In high school, I was the girl everyone went to for beauty advice, fashion help, and makeup tips. Creativity came naturally to me, and people trusted my eye before I even realized it was a gift. That passion led me to attend the Aveda Institute in Austin, where everything clicked.

Right after beauty school and right after having my first son I was offered a job at a makeup store, and then surprisingly offered a position at MAC Cosmetics while I was just shopping. I said yes immediately, not knowing how hard it actually was to get hired there. During training, we had to share our stories, and I realized some people had applied for years before getting in. That’s when it hit me: my purpose found me before I even knew to chase it.

I worked at MAC for four years, mastered my craft, built my reputation, and eventually launched my own brand and studio. Today, I specialize in beauty, fitness, mindset, and transformation helping clients feel strong inside and out. What sets me apart is the way I blend all of these worlds together. I don’t just create a look; I create an experience. I help women tap into their confidence, identity, and inner strength.

I’m proud to be part of a new era where there are no limitations or outdated expectations. Following your dreams isn’t impossible not when you’re willing to put in the work. Social media has given creatives like me the tools, the visibility, and the freedom to build our own careers on our own terms.

My career has been a journey of passion, resilience, and purpose and I’m only getting started.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
If there’s anything I want people to take from my story, it’s this: you don’t have to wait for the “perfect time” to start creating the life you want. Life will throw challenges, detours, and moments that break you down, but you always have the power to rise stronger.

I’ve learned that purpose doesn’t disappear when life gets hard — it becomes clearer.

No matter what you’re facing, don’t stop dreaming, don’t stop working on yourself, and don’t stop believing that your life can shift in an instant. Healing, success, and transformation are all possible when you choose to show up for yourself again and again.

If my journey proves anything, it’s that you can survive the unimaginable and still build a life filled with beauty, strength, and meaning. Keep going. You’re more powerful than you think.
