Hi Perry, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Perry Posed began with a camera, a dream, and a deep love for preserving life’s in-between moments. What started as a creative outlet during COVID, quickly grew into a heartfelt business built on connection. Today, Perry Posed stands as a luxury lifestyle photography brand in DFW, known for timeless edits, intentional posing, and personalized experiences that feel just as special as the photos look. We’re dreaming even bigger, expanding beyond DFW, bringing the Perry Posed experience to families across the country, and continuing to tell stories that stand the test of time. Maybe our own studio one day.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but it’s been worth every bump. Building Perry Posed meant learning how to balance creativity with business, passion with process, and heart with hustle. There were seasons where sessions were slow, editing piled up, and self-doubt crept in louder than confidence. But every challenge shaped the brand into what it is today intentional, elevated, and deeply personal. I’ve learned to embrace the growing pains, trust my vision, and keep showing up for the people who believe in Perry Posed.

At Perry Posed, I specialize in lifestyle photography for families, grads, and couples capturing those real, in-between moments that feel like you. My goal is to create images that are timeless, emotive, and beautifully composed while still feeling effortless and true to life.
What I’m most proud of is the experience I’ve built for my clients. From the moment they inquire to the final gallery delivery, everything is intentional. From personalized styling help to posing guidance that makes people feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. It’s more than a photoshoot; it’s a memory in motion.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
Absolutely! I’m always looking for ways to grow — creatively, personally, and as a business owner. A few tools that keep me grounded are Zinnia for planning, Lightroom Mobile for on-the-go edits, and Pinterest for creative inspiration. I also love using Meta Business to stay organized with social media and keep my content consistent. When it comes to podcasts, I’m a big fan of The Heart & Hustle Podcast and The Gold Biz Podcast. Both hosted by women photographers who share real, honest conversations about growing your business while staying true to your purpose. They’ve helped me navigate the ups and downs of entrepreneurship and reminded me that success looks different for everyone.
