Hi Roxanne, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
My journey as a makeup artist… My goal initially was to get into the 798-makeup union. My dream was to have a career in the T.V. and film industry so I can create characters through my artistry. During my career, the industry made the switch to HD. That is when I found the need for a skin-enhancing product. I noticed that my looks were not being portrayed the same on camera. That is when I came up with a multi-functional product that looks and feels like skin called Bronze Glow.
My brand was founded in 2007. It is a staple product used around the world. Bronze Glow is a skin-perfecting mist formulated for HD cameras. It is used to enhance your natural beauty and even out your skin tone while giving you a healthy, warm, and glowing complexion. The best part of the product is that one color is for all. As I always say, simplicity is everything and less is always more.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
In most businesses, there are many trails and errors. In the beginning, I thought it was best to have business partners but unfortunately, that did not work out. The best thing that came out of this was that I learned that not only was I an artist but also a businesswoman. I made this obstacle work for me.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a working celebrity makeup artist and businesswoman who created Bronze Glow. I am most proud of building my brand from the ground up while growing my career.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
My biggest lesson learned is to never underestimate yourself. You can achieve anything with persistence and hard work.
