Today we’d like to introduce you to Savannah Romero.
Hi Savannah, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I began my path very early on in my life. Spirituality has always been an area of who I am that I have strived to make continuous improvement on, and I’ve always sought to be in the company of mentors. My journey into this community would not have been possible without my biggest catalyst- a pagan-owned, Black-owned, and veteran-owned metaphysical store in Pantego called Hearth Wisdom Store. Through Hearth, I have been in the company of numerous mentors in a variety of spiritual and paranormal fields. In short, this small business has been a fundamental part of my growth.
I began this collaboration by first making candles for my tiny start-up of Ye Olde Modern Apothecary- my production line venture. When the pandemic hit, my East-Texan rural hometown suffered rolling electric grid outages as the seasons got harder. I started out making candles to send back home, and that’s what kick-started my candle hobby. Mirah Hunter, the owner and operator of Hearth Wisdom Store, came across my candles via social media and from there extended a vocational offer (the first of several) to me for consignment. From then on, I have accepted positions as a resident medium, tarot reader, and staff member.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Very candid question, and to answer it definitively- no, it has not. Several times I would question the pace of my journey. There were several periods of self-doubt, impatience, and anxiety. I am very prone to imposter syndrome, and during times of high stress it can creep up on me. Despite these intrusive thoughts, I brave through the minefield. I have always been my own biggest obstacle, but being on this spiritual path has ultimately taught me how to get out of my own way.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a professional psychic medium and practicing pagan in the DFW metaphysical community. I collaborate my spiritual services solely with Hearth Wisdom Store and offer in-person sessions there on a weekly basis. Aside from my general practice, I have always been sensitive to the paranormal. A sizeable amount of my psychic development as a medium can be directly attributed to participating in the atmosphere of Hearth Wisdom Store, which has in return fostered my abilities.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Excellent question. The most important lesson that I’ve learned on this joyride is to get out of my own way and be receptive to the opportunities that present themselves.
