Today we’d like to introduce you to Shane Hamilton.
Hi Shane, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Music has always been a passion of mine, growing up my family traveled playing bluegrass music so I was always around it, at 18 I began leading our worship team and did that for a little over 15 years. I waited to chase “The country music dream” until my kids were older and started playing school sports and no longer able to be coached by me which was really important to me that I be really involved in their lives. A little over a year and a half ago I opened a show for a good buddy of my and realized playing country music was something I really wanted to do. I contacted a couple of my best friends who are musicians as well and got our band started. After we played our first full band show word began spreading quickly and the phone began to ring. The right people have heard us along the way and we started playing their venues. Thankfully we haven’t had to beg anyone to play anywhere we actually have to block weekends that we want to take a break or to spend time with our families
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have been some struggles like most bands experience, growing pains I guess. Learning to adapt to the crazy schedules, being away from our families, adding new members to the group and making sure it’s the right fit just the normal coming up in the music industry
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Country/Red dirt music is our main focus and drive. We love playing in bars and honky tonks. Filling dance floors playing songs that we’ve all grown up to and love. Seeing the smiling faces every night makes it all worth it
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Performing. Being on stage holding everyone’s attention with each song or lyric is electrifying. Playing a song that brings back a great memory for someone that you can tell by their reaction the second we start the song. Having countless people come up to us after a show to tell us how much fun they had that always puts a smile on our face
