Today we’d like to introduce you to Shanni Jackson.
Hi Shanni, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I’ve always loved eyelashes, even as a kid. Once I got older and started to do a little research and test things out for myself, I knew that this was the business for me and something I’ll love doing. I didn’t expect to get as far or have as much support as I have, but I did, and that motivated me to go even harder. Now, I’m expanding and adding to my brand, along with getting certified to be a Lash Tech. I finally did my class, and soon, I’ll be accepting clients. I love selling lashes, and I love what I do. It makes me HAPPY. It’s something that’s genuinely for me. I kept going by promoting and pushing myself, and now, I will only push myself more because I know what I’m capable of doing. I Am The LASH TRAPPER.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been the smoothest road, but neither has it been all bad. I got a little discouraged when I got pregnant due to me being very sick and having a high-risk pregnancy. I began to be overwhelmed by the sickness and the business side of life. Things had to be pushed back, and at times, it was hard to get orders out to my customers because I didn’t have the strength or energy to do so. There were days that I just couldn’t pull it together, and I almost gave up on my business. Thankfully, I had loyal, patient customers and a wonderful support system in my mom, Boyfriend, and Aunt. With their help and motivation, I was able to persevere and get on track. I will say that this struggle only made me a stronger businesswoman.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m most proud of how far I’ve come, the quality of my lashes, my packaging, my promotion skills, my brand PERIOD. I’m dedicated to my brand. Even if it’s a time that I have to take a break, I’m always going to come back stronger and better, and I sell out in less than two weeks every single time. That pushes me to keep going and growing.
What does success mean to you?
Success for me means having and running a well-established, reputable, profitable business with products and services of impeccable quality. It means being able to provide my daughter with the wonderful life that she deserves. It means being able to take care of my family and giving back to my community and supporters. It means being happy in my career and life.
