Hi Sharon , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The inspiration surrounding Magnolia Blends, LLC comes from my childhood growing up in Louisiana and visiting my great-grandparents’ home. The fenced-in small wood-framed house had a tall tree with large white magnolias that bore an unforgettable aromatic smell with a plethora of different fruit trees surrounding the home.
One summer day, I decided to begin the transition of my hair back to its natural state after years of using chemical relaxers. After trying product after product, and being underwhelmed with the lackluster results, I decided to start doing some research about ingredients that I could use to formulate my own hair care products with natural ingredients that work best to stimulate and support healthy thriving hair.
My goal is to create a new brand that echoes with women who, like myself; have to manage different hair types and textures. After many months of trial and error, I finally developed hair care products that delivered the goods. Hence, the birth of Magnolia Blends, LLC!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, It has been far from a smooth road, but it’s definitely been a learning journey. I’m learning every day that entrepreneurship is a daily sacrifice.
There are so many different things you have to take into consideration. I had to take a step back and understand having a business and building a brand is just like having a child. You must make it a priority, you must feed it, nurture it, you must pray for it, and make adjustments with time if you want your business to grow.
A few of the struggles I’ve endured would include being able to balance parenting, working full-time, and being the owner of my business, researching, studying, formulating, creating, packaging, shipping, and servicing customers.
I’ve also had to deal with postal delays during the pandemic by awaiting longer than normal delivery of key ingredients and containers needed for my products.

In addition to being the Founder of Magnolia Blends, LLC, I am also the Owner/Operator of IHeart Planning Events and Entertainment LLC, an innovative and creative full-service event planning company for individuals, families, corporations, nonprofit organizations, networking and social events.
My business goals and objectives for IHeart Planning Events and Entertainment LLC, are to plan, design/style, and execute the perfect event experience. Sharon possesses the keen ability to clearly communicate with clients while ensuring their vision has been exceeded from start to finish.

Group Destination Cruise currently work full-time for one of Fortune 500’s top insurance companies, in their underwriting department.
I am also a proud mom that is deeply devoted to ensuring the academic success of my son.
My drive, perseverance, and motivation are derived from the fact that I want to provide a better life for my children. I want to be able to reach back and help those in need. My passion is to be of service and advocate for women and young girls.
I am looking forward to launching my own nonprofit organization that will help teenage mothers and homeless women with children with the needed tools and resources to get proper job training, upkeep of hygiene, computer skills, cooking basics, and more.
What sets me apart from others are my professionalism and attention to detail. As President and CEO of Magnolia Blends, LLC. I am able to incorporate and utilize my 20 plus years of corporate customer service experience and knowledge into my business which helps me identify with my consumer base allowing me to quickly and efficiently resolve any issues and conflicts that may arise.
