Hi – My name is Sonal Tandale, Founder and CEO of Carrollton Tutors. I began my journey in 2021 with a passion for education and a deep desire to help students unlock their potential. Also serving as a high school teacher, I quickly realized the difference personalized attention and strong mentorship could make in a student’s academic confidence. This inspired me to become a certified tutor and launch CarrolltonTutors, where I’ve now guided countless students in math, reading, and test prep. Over the years, I’ve combined my classroom experience with data-driven strategies to help students not only improve their scores but also build skills that last beyond exams. Today, CarrolltonTutors stands as a trusted partner for families who want high-quality, affordable tutoring with proven results — and that’s what motivates me every single day.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road — but it’s been a rewarding one. When I first started CarrolltonTutors, I faced the challenge of building trust in a competitive tutoring market while balancing the demands of running a business and personally working with students. Finding the right team, creating structured yet flexible programs, and helping parents see measurable results all took time and persistence. There were moments of doubt, especially during transitions like shifting to online learning and adapting to new testing formats. But every challenge pushed me to innovate — to make lessons more engaging, personalize learning even further, and truly understand what families needed. Those early struggles shaped the strong foundation CarrolltonTutors has today.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
At CarrolltonTutors, I specialize in helping students build confidence and mastery in Math, Reading, and SAT/ACT Test Prep. As a TPAPT-certified math tutor and former high school teacher, my focus has always been on making learning personal, structured, and effective. What I’m most proud of is seeing my students’ growth — not just in their scores, but in their mindset. Many come to me feeling anxious or unsure, and watching them leave with confidence and a clear plan for success is incredibly rewarding.

I don’t really believe in luck — I believe in God’s favor and divine wisdom. There have been times when challenges felt overwhelming, but somehow, the right opportunities or people showed up exactly when I needed them. That’s not luck — that’s grace.
I also believe wisdom from the Almighty gives you the clarity to make the right decisions, even in difficult times. CarrolltonTutors is truly a reflection of that faith — built on prayer, perseverance, and a deep trust that when your intentions are pure, God aligns everything for good.
