Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Newroth.
Hi Taylor, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I always knew I wanted to help people be the best versions of themselves somehow. Originally, I began my journey with teaching elementary school and working with children. However, as we all are too aware, the pandemic was a time of huge changes in life. I have always been one to welcome the unknown and embrace uncharted territory as part of growth, so I ventured onto a new path. The beauty industry seemed like a clear choice for me all of a sudden because of the new emphasis on self-care. Now that I’ve hit the ground running, I’m loving channeling my education experience into guiding my clients on hair care.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing is ever easy. Another huge part of my decision to change career paths was the loss of my father in 2018 to suicide. These things have a way of showing us what is truly important, and for me, that meant having passion in my life on a daily basis.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a hairstylist specializing in cutting/styling at Lure Salon. My favorite element of what I do is getting to know a variety of different people and helping them to really own their style. Hair has a lot of personality if you let it!
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
With all of the influences of our society today, it doesn’t always feel like something as simple as a haircut can make a difference. I’m here to hopefully remind as many people as possible that I’ve seen weight literally and figuratively lifted off people’s shoulders in my chair; so, don’t forget to take that time for you to see how beautiful you are!
