Hi Teniola, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am originally from Nigeria, I had my elementary, high school and university education in lagos, Nigeria. For me, I had always knew I will use my fingers to make people happy. I started braiding at a tender age of 4 and i made a lot of friends with that. Immediately after my college, I wanted to learn the trade of beauty salon or fashion design. I started off entrepreneurship with Teeny Couture limited,a fashion label, and added Teeny Salon. I moved to the United States in 2016. After jugging between both skills for years, I decided to put more effort in braiding and hair dressing. My reasons for sticking to hair business are as follows
1. It is absolute passion for me.
2. I love to meet people and
3. I love to see people transform from how they came in to what they desire to look like.
4. It brings the creativity in me everyday.
5. I make good money from braiding.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Just as every endeavor has glitches, teenybraids has encountered some challenges in the aspect of staffing. Because of the keen way i render braiding service, I have found it challenging retaining braiders. I have built a brand that is identified only with neat, fast and affordable braiding services, and I am yet to see individuals who share same value. Presently, teenybraids is a sole entrepreneur.

Teenybraids does all kinds of protective styles. We specialize in box braids, knotless braids, Passion braids, French curl braids, Bohemian braids, Kinky twist, senegalese twist, Passion twist loc retwist, cornrows, tribal braids, crochet installations. Teenybraids is known for professionalism. I am most proud of the number of and class of people i have braided. My clients are the reason I am hopeful of the future for Teenybraids. Teenybraids is customer-centric , we are different in that we create an atmosphere where every client feels valued. We ensure our clients leave happy. we pride ourselves with top-notch braiding services
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Everyday of my childhood was memorable. The most favorite was every last day of the year. It’s always rocky all night till the next day. Plenty food, gifts. “Knockouts”, drInks. Families gathered at my father’s compound to celebrate new year with us. It was always fun.
