Today we’d like to introduce you to Thabani Dube
Thabani, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am the visionary for a non-profit organisation(Church) called Embrace Fellowship.
My wife Lady Rumby & I founded Embrace fellowship for the purpose of helping individuals to connect with God.
Our vision is to help people embrace the Gospel so they can be better people. I certainly believe that the Gospel is enough to transform people however this can only happen when we help people embrace this Gospel. As we do this , we are playing our part in fullfilling the great commission.
Mathew 28 v 19-commands us to:
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
We endeavour to reach out to people of different age groups but mainly, my desire is to see a lot of young people being delivered from a lot of bad things that this world has to offer to a life filled with a hunger for God.
We started meeting at home with just a few individuals in June 2023. We quickly ougrew our home and decided to move into a hotel a few months later. By Jan 2024, we were blessed to move into a rented space which we transformed into a nice beautiful sanctuary with our team so it could be comfortable to worship in.
God has seen us this far and we have increased from when we started and we continue to grow even as we connect with people in and around DFW metroplex.
This June 2025, we celebrate our 2 yr annivesary and we are looking foward to what God has in store for us..
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Pioneering any type of work is not an easy thing. Moreso , if its a non-profit organisation.
We have done our part despite the road being rough.
We have gone through the same struggles that every ministry goes thru
Unlike businesses, churches often depend on donations rather than generating revenue, making financial planning difficult.
Maintaining buildings and funding outreach programs can be challenging with limited financial resources.
Many churches are expected to provide social services (food programs, counseling, financial aid) but lack the resources to meet growing needs.
• Managing expectations from the congregation and the wider community can be overwhelming.
This are some of the challenges we have had to face.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Weare called to make disciples. We are called to spread the message of hope and love. We are called to make the world a better place and ultimately to depopulate hell and make sure that people know the The Way, The Truth and The Life.
We are known for being able to embrace all people, the hopeless, the rejected, the condemned and the ones struggling with addictions and different other issues.
Im most proud of the fact that, i have seen God at work not just in my life but in a lot of other peoples lives. I have seen him ressurect dreams that had died.
Outside of the ministry. I am a fulltime Snr Data Engineer. Having worked for the past 9yrs for Conifer Health Solutions a subsidiary of Tenet health.
My job focuses mainly on ETL work , making sure that i provide the data needed by the business inorder to make meaningful decisions.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
Social media platfroms are ofcourse one of the resources that help us reach out to people .
We stream our messages on youtube and ofcourse the main book that anchors everything we do is the Bible. God has preserved his word for over 3000 yrs and it is still relevant in today’s life.
