Hi Victoria, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am a Registered Nurse who has worked tirelessly in the hospital for my entire career. I started in the Pediatric ICU as a staff nurse and decided to take the leap as a travel nurse. I have traveled across the country and world; I’ve worked in Texas, Illinois, California, USVI, and in Abu Dhabi.
At first, I was seeking adventure and opportunity, but the pandemic changed everything for me. This has been extremely challenging as I am moving to a new city every 3 months for the past 3 years. Nurses more than ever are seeking a stability and an appropriate pay worthy of their profession. A place where their VOICE CAN BE HEARD, a place where they do not have to sacrifice their own mental health in exchange for little compensation or appreciation.
I have been looking for opportunities to pursue a career in aesthetics for the past year and a half! A career that would challenge me and a place where I can financially succeed as an entrepreneur and nurse. That’s when I signed up for my first aesthetic course. I found out very quickly that this course did not constitute me hire-able, and I had just wasted thousands of dollars. So, what does one do next? I continued to network until I met the right person at the right time, which lead me to Expert Aesthetics here in Dallas! Now I am an aesthetic nurse working at Issil Beauty Spa in Plano, TX!
