Hi Yoximar, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story is really about starting over, finding myself, and building something of my own.
I was born and raised in Venezuela, where I worked as a journalist. After facing a situation where practicing my profession became increasingly difficult, I decided to leave my country and begin a new chapter in the United States. Like many immigrants, moving to a new country meant rebuilding my life from the ground up.
Along the way, I became a military spouse, which ushered in a whole new phase filled with experiences, challenges, relocations, and opportunities for growth.
Over the years, I’ve built a career helping people during key moments in their lives—working as a health insurance agent and an accident claims advisor. At the same time, I rediscovered my passion for storytelling through content creation and began sharing glimpses of my daily life: fashion, fitness, travel, wellness, and the reality of being a military spouse.
What started simply as something I enjoyed doing eventually turned into a professional opportunity. Today, I am building my life and career as a content creator in Dallas; I collaborate with brands, produce user-generated content (UGC), and share experiences that inspire people to explore, take care of themselves, and enjoy the little moments of everyday life.
I’m still learning as I go, but I’ve discovered that starting over doesn’t necessarily mean starting from zero. Sometimes, it involves discovering new facets of yourself and creating a life you never imagined possible.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not. There have been many moments when I’ve had to start over and figure things out as I went.
Moving to a new country and building a life away from everything familiar came with its own challenges. There were cultural changes, language barriers, and moments when I questioned whether I was really on the right path. Being a military spouse also taught me how to adapt quickly, because sometimes just when you feel settled, life changes again.
One of my biggest challenges has been learning to believe in myself while rebuilding my professional identity in different areas. I’ve had to step outside of my comfort zone many times, start things without knowing exactly where they would lead, and give myself permission to learn as I go.
Starting over professionally was especially challenging because I had to rediscover what I was capable of and what truly made me feel fulfilled. That process eventually led me to content creation, where I found a new way to combine my creativity, my love for storytelling, and my everyday experiences.
There were definitely moments of uncertainty, but those experiences taught me resilience. I’ve learned that not every chapter has to make sense while you’re living it. Sometimes you only understand its purpose when you look back.
The challenges didn’t make the journey easier, but they made me stronger, more adaptable, and more confident in creating a life that feels like my own.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a content creator specializing in lifestyle, travel, wellness, fashion, and UGC. I create content that feels natural, relatable, and genuine rather than overly staged or perfect. I love taking everyday experiences — from discovering a new hotel or restaurant to trying a new product, working out, traveling, or simply sharing life as a military spouse — and turning them into stories that people can connect with.
I’m especially proud of how much I’ve grown as a creator. What started as simply sharing my life has turned into real opportunities to work with brands, create UGC, and build a community around the things I genuinely love.
What sets me apart is the way I tell stories through real experiences. I don’t try to create a perfect version of life. I believe there is value in showing the beautiful, the funny, the unexpected, and sometimes even the messy moments. I want people to feel like they’re experiencing something with me, rather than simply watching an advertisement.
I also bring a unique perspective as a Venezuelan immigrant and military spouse. My experiences have taught me to adapt, start over, and find beauty in new places and new chapters. I bring that perspective into everything I create.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I think the creator industry is going to become even more influential over the next 5–10 years. Brands are realizing that people connect with real experiences and real people, not just traditional advertising. I believe we’ll continue to see a shift toward authentic, relatable content and long-term relationships between creators and brands.
I also think UGC and creator-led storytelling will continue to grow, especially as brands look for content that feels natural on social media and genuinely connects with their audiences. At the same time, AI and new technology will continue to change the way content is created, but I don’t believe technology can replace the human connection behind a meaningful story.
I think the biggest opportunity will be for creators who can combine creativity with authenticity — people who understand how to tell a story, not just how to create something that looks good.
For me, the future of this industry is about staying authentic while learning to adapt. The creators who continue to evolve, understand their audience, and bring their own perspective to their work will have the strongest opportunities.
