Story & Lesson Highlights with Alejandra behindthelensbyale of Fort Worth/ Burleson/Joshua

We recently had the chance to connect with Alejandra behindthelensbyale and have shared our conversation below.

Alejandra , really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
If I could, I absolutely would. Photography is truly my passion, and my goal is not only to deliver beautiful photos but also to make sure my clients enjoy the entire experience from start to finish. Communication is very important to me—I make it a priority to respond quickly and to provide clear turnaround dates so my clients always know what to expect. I genuinely love what I do, and being able to capture and create such cherished memories for others is what makes this work so meaningful to me.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Alejandra, I’m originally from California but have called Texas home for the past seven years. My journey into photography began shortly after the birth of my son and quickly grew into a true passion. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of meeting incredible people and building such a beautiful, supportive community through my work.

My style blends lifestyle and portrait photography, giving clients timeless images that are both natural and polished. I strive to deliver sharp, crisp, and creamy-toned photos that my clients have come to love and cherish. Each session is unique, and I put my heart into making every experience special.

None of this would be possible without the unwavering support of my husband and my two beautiful children my little helpers who bring so much joy and motivation to everything I do.

I’m also beyond excited to share that in October 2025, I’ll be opening my very first studio in Joshua, TX Modern Creative Space. This has been a dream in the making, and the studio will offer a modern, lifestyle inspired atmosphere not only for my own sessions but also as a space for other creatives to bring their visions to life. I can’t wait to open the doors and welcome this next chapter!

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
Moving to Texas was such a big change for me the weather alone was so different from California, but the hardest part was being away from my family. I’ve always been very family-oriented, so that distance wasn’t easy. Becoming a mom and discovering something I truly love to do completely changed my perspective. It taught me to slow down and appreciate the little moments in life. That is why I am so passionate about what I do capturing glimpses of people’s lives and preserving the memories that last a lifetime.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Of course, there were moments when it felt overwhelming trying to juggle motherhood, work, and everything in between. But giving up was never an option. I reminded myself why I started and who I was doing it for. Many nights I stayed up late working, after giving my babies my full attention all day.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
The cultural value I protect at all costs is family. Every day I pray for my family and thank God for blessing us with another day together. I never take for granted the time I get to spend with my children, my husband, and my loved ones. For me, family is everything it’s my source of strength, love, and motivation. I do my best to cherish even the smallest moments, whether it’s a simple dinner together, laughter at the end of a long day.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I get to spend time with my family. We could be doing the simplest things, but nothing brings me more peace than seeing my babies smile
