Camryn Malone shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi Camryn, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
At the moment cooking new foods has been bringing me joy. I love being in the kitchen and challenging myself with new dishes.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Camryn and I’m the founder of S.H.E Club, which stands for Social, Healthy, & Empowered. S.H.E Club was created to bring women together in a positive and intentional way, to connect, grow, and support one another. We focus on creating safe spaces where women can build friendships, explore wellness, try new experiences and ultimately feel empowered in every area of their lives.
What makes S.H.E Club unique is that it’s not just an event or a meetup, it’s a community built around genuine connection, vulnerability, and sisterhood. Women deserve spaces where they can not only have fun but also grow personally, emotionally, and socially. We’re working to build a supportive network that gives women the encouragement and confidence they need, whether it’s through health-focused activities, social gatherings, conversations, or shared experiences.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part of me that has served its purpose and I’m releasing is people-pleasing. Growing up and even into early adulthood, I often put others’ feelings, needs, and comfort before my own. I thought that was what made me a ‘good’ person, but over time I realized it was costing me my happiness, boundaries, and peace.
As I’ve grown, I’ve learned to prioritize myself without guilt. I honor my needs, listen to my inner voice, and choose relationships and spaces that feel aligned. Letting go of people-pleasing has allowed me to stand in my authenticity, and I’m finally in a space where I feel grounded, confident, and connected to who I truly am.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me something that success never could, that I am ultimately responsible for my own happiness. It showed me that my peace, my circle, my environment, and my choices are in my hands. When I’ve been in dark or difficult places mentally, I learned that no one can pull me out but me.
Success feels great, but struggle taught me resilience, self-accountability, and emotional strength. It taught me that I get to decide who has access to me, what I allow in my life, and how I show up for myself. Suffering grounded me in self-trust and that level of inner strength is something success alone could never teach.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that what really matters to me is growth; mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and personally. I never want to feel stagnant. I’m always looking to evolve, learn, and expand my thinking. Whether it’s through new experiences, meaningful conversations, or stepping outside my comfort zone, I’m committed to becoming the best version of myself.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I only had ten years left, I would put my phone down and be fully present in life. I would stop letting distractions pull me away from real experiences, real connections, and the beauty of everyday moments. I’d spend more time actually living, soaking in nature, being around people I love, and embracing the world without constantly trying to capture it on a screen.
