Story & Lesson Highlights with Claudia Raven of Bedford

We recently had the chance to connect with Claudia Raven and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Claudia, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Something outside of work that’s been bringing me a lot of joy lately is Pilates. It’s become my go-to way to slow down, stay grounded, and take care of my body. I love how it challenges my strength and flexibility without being too hard on my joints, and it’s really helped me feel more balanced overall. It’s become a routine I genuinely look forward to.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Claudia, and I’m a wellness and lifestyle content creator who focuses on PCOS, GLP-1 weight loss, and sustainable, realistic self-care. I’ve lost over 150 pounds, and I use my platform to share the habits, routines, and tools that have helped me transform my health while managing PCOS and insulin resistance.

My brand is all about honesty and accessibility — I show the real ups and downs, not just the highlight reel. Whether it’s vitamins, workouts, meal prep, skincare, or mindset, my goal is to make women feel seen, supported, and inspired to take control of their own wellness journey.

Right now, I’m working on creating more educational content and resources for women who want guidance with PCOS, GLP-1s, and building sustainable routines. I love being able to help people feel less alone and more empowered, and that’s really at the heart of everything I do.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
When I was younger, I genuinely believed that I was broken — that something about me just didn’t fit or wasn’t enough. As I’ve grown, healed, and learned more about myself, I’ve realized that I was never broken at all. I just needed understanding, support, and space to grow into who I am now.

Today, I know I’m strong, capable, and whole. What I once saw as flaws were really just parts of my story that shaped my resilience.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Mainly resilience, empathy, and self-trust. When you’re struggling, you’re forced to meet parts of yourself you didn’t even know existed. You learn how strong you are, how to keep going when you feel like you can’t, and how to rebuild yourself from the inside out.

Success is beautiful, but it doesn’t shape your character the way pain does. Suffering taught me patience, compassion, and the importance of giving myself grace — lessons I carry into everything I do now.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes and no. The public version of me is real — everything I share comes from a genuine place. But it’s still just a part of me. Online, you see the wellness routine, the PCOS journey, the humor, the motivation… all of that is real, but it’s curated.

The private version of me is softer, quieter, and not always as put together. She still has bad days, doubts, and moments that don’t make it to the camera.

I think both versions are real — one is just the version I choose to share to help others feel seen, and the other is the version I protect for myself.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say that I made them feel seen. That I helped women feel less alone in their struggles — whether it was PCOS, weight loss, or just trying to figure out life. I want them to remember me as someone who was honest, kind, and willing to share her story so others could find strength in theirs.

More than anything, I hope people say that I inspired them to choose themselves, to take care of their mind and body, and to believe that healing is possible no matter where you start.
