We’re looking forward to introducing you to Dayanna Esparza-corzo. Check out our conversation below.
Dayanna , so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
There’s something grounding about being fully present with another person, understanding their vision, and translating it into something they can see and feel. In those moments, time disappears and creativity takes over.
When I feel most connected to who I am and who I’m becoming, I’m not rushing or performing, ’m simply being.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Dayanna Esparza-Corzo, and I’m a hairstylist and creative based in Texas. My work goes beyond hair—it’s about transformation, intention, and helping people feel aligned with who they truly are.
I approach beauty as a collaborative and intuitive process, where light, texture, and individuality play an essential role. Every client and project is different, and I’m deeply inspired by connection, presence, and the stories people carry with them.
Alongside my work behind the chair, I’m focused on building a brand rooted in authenticity, personal growth, and creative expression. I believe beauty has the power to ground us, elevate us, and remind us of our strength—and that philosophy guides everything I create.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world placed expectations on me, I was deeply intuitive, curious, and creative. I trusted my inner voice without questioning it and moved through life with a natural sense of presence and sensitivity.
Over time, I learned to adapt—to be strong, responsible, and resilient. While those qualities shaped me, reconnecting with that original version of myself has been essential. It’s where my creativity, empathy, and sense of purpose truly live, and it continues to guide how I show up in both my work and my life.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self that she is stronger than she realizes and that her sensitivity is not a weakness—it’s a gift.
I would remind her to trust her intuition, to be patient with her journey, and to know that everything she’s learning will one day become part of her strength, her voice, and her purpose. I would tell her I love her.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that authenticity, connection, and growth truly matter to me. I value meaningful relationships, intentional work, and staying aligned with who I am—even as I evolve.
I care deeply about presence and integrity, both in my personal life and in my creative work. For me, success isn’t just about achievement—it’s about feeling grounded, fulfilled, and connected to purpose.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people remember me as someone who created with intention and led with authenticity. Someone who made others feel seen, understood, and empowered through her work and presence.
More than anything, I hope my story reflects growth and to never give up
Always show up , resilience, and the courage to live aligned with who I truly am—leaving behind not just beautiful work, but meaningful connections.
