We recently had the chance to connect with Dr Kelsey Brown and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Kelsey, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Each morning unfolds gently, before the world begins to stir. I wake slowly, letting my breath settle into meditation before I ever leave the warmth of my bed. When I rise, I move into motion — sometimes it’s the steady strength of weightlifting, other days the rhythm of a run, the grace of Pilates, or the mindful ease of stretching.
I follow with a few moments on my vibration plate, allowing every muscle to lengthen and awaken. Then I speak my daily affirmation, grounding my spirit in purpose, and flow into a HeartMath session to harmonize my heart and mind.
I end this quiet ritual with ten peaceful minutes on my acupressure mat, binaural beats weaving through the silence — a soft invitation to align, reset, and begin the day with presence and intention.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Dr. Kelsey Brown, and for more than eleven years I’ve had the honor of serving others through the art and science of chiropractic care. My heart lives in The Vine Family Chiropractic in Grapevine, Texas — a space built on connection, healing, and growth.
I’m married to my incredible husband, my steady rock and greatest supporter — the one who’s been by my side for more years than I can remember without him. Together, we’re raising three beautiful souls, ages 19, 13, and 3 — each in their own season, each teaching us something new about love, patience, and joy. They’ve watched the long days, the deep purpose, and the devotion it takes to nurture a business that heals others, and I’m so grateful they get to witness that journey.
Our practice has recently found new roots — a new location, a fresh chapter — and with it, a blossoming expansion into functional medicine. I’ve always been fascinated by the body — how it adapts, communicates, and seeks balance through every season of life. Functional medicine allows me to dive even deeper, guiding others to listen to what their bodies are truly asking for. Together, we uncover the root cause of their symptoms and create the space for their body to return to its natural rhythm of healing.
This work is more than my profession — it’s my calling. A daily reminder that healing is not just about the body, but about reconnecting the heart, the mind, and the spirit — allowing life to flow freely once again.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I was a sassy, playful little girl that loved adventure. My best friend was my grandpa, and he taught me so much about nature, animals, and the ways of the past. He taught me to get my hands dirty, work hard, and always be kind.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Don’t hide. Your tribe and people will find you sooner and quicker when you don’t hide your true self. People are craving authenticity and connection just like you.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
As parents, we have to allow our children the space to struggle, stumble, and even fail. It’s one of the hardest parts of love — standing back when every instinct wants to step in. But when we look at our own lives, it’s clear that our greatest growth came from our hardest seasons.
It’s in the struggle that we learned resilience, grit, and determination. It’s in the moments of failure that we discovered how to rise again — to take what we learned, apply it, and move forward stronger.
Life has a way of teaching its lessons through experience, and our children need those moments too. When we let them face the natural consequences of their choices — while the stakes are still small and the environment is safe — we give them the gift of self-awareness, accountability, and confidence. We’re not rescuing them from discomfort; we’re preparing them for life.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope they’d say that I showed up — that no matter what, I was there. I show up for others, even when it’s messy, even when it’s hard. I’m not perfect, but I make it happen. I don’t always get it right, but you’ll always find me beside you, sleeves rolled up, hands in the work.
I give what I can, and I love big — because at the end of the day, that’s what matters most: to show up, to love deeply, and to keep trying, again and again. I also want my kids to know you do what’s right even when no one is looking, you show up when no one thinks it matters, and you stand up for what’s right no matter the backlash.
