We recently had the chance to connect with Eric Rush and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Eric , thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
What I’m most proud of building is the infrastructure behind the scenes that turns ideas into impact. On the surface, people see the podcasts, the interviews, and the content we produce, but few see the systems, the relationships, and the culture that make it all possible.
I’ve spent years creating a platform that elevates voices, amplifies overlooked stories, and connects communities, especially veterans and leaders who are redefining their purpose. That includes mentoring creators, designing operational workflows, and curating content with intention so that every story resonates deeply.
This invisible work is about building trust, consistency, and opportunity. It’s not flashy, but it’s the foundation that allows our mission to scale and for others to step into their own brilliance. That’s what I’m quietly most proud of.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Eric Rush, CEO of Prime Pitch Podcast Network Inc., host of Frisco’s #1 Podcast, Next Level Thinkers | A Charting New Horizons of Brilliance, as well as The Rush Outrospective | A Mastering the Art of Living and Unfinished Business | A Podcast for Veterans Pursuing New Life Missions. I am also Frisco’s #1 Veteran Advocacy Podcaster, a Bronze Star combat veteran, and an Executive Volunteer with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, supporting programs that help veterans and individuals in transition reclaim their lives.
What makes our brand unique is our commitment to amplifying voices that often go unheard. Through our podcasts, we create platforms where veterans, thought leaders, and changemakers can share their journeys, insights, and lessons. It’s not just about storytelling, it’s about impact, transformation, and building a community of resilience and leadership.
Right now, I’m focused on curating content that inspires action, fosters growth, and celebrates human potential, while expanding Prime Pitch Podcast Network into a hub for creativity, purpose-driven media, and community connection. At its core, our work is about helping people see the extraordinary in themselves and others.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that has most shaped how I see myself is my partnership with my wife, Courtney. She has been a constant source of perspective, strength, and grounding throughout my journey, from navigating military service and combat experiences to building a media network and advocating for veterans.
Courtney has a way of reflecting the best in me while challenging me to grow, holding me accountable to the values I care about most: integrity, resilience, and purpose. Through her support and wisdom, I’ve learned to lead not just with strategy, but with heart. She reminds me that success isn’t just measured by achievements, but by the positive impact we have on others and the relationships we nurture along the way.
Her influence has taught me to embrace vulnerability as a strength, to celebrate growth over perfection, and to lead in ways that uplift those around me, both in my personal life and in my work with Prime Pitch Podcast Network, my podcasts, and my advocacy for veterans.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one kind thing to my younger self, it would be: “Your past doesn’t define your future, and your struggles are preparing you for a purpose bigger than you can imagine.”
Looking back, I see the mistakes, the hardships, and the moments of doubt as crucial building blocks that shaped my resilience, my leadership, and my ability to connect deeply with others. I’d remind my younger self that every challenge is an opportunity to grow stronger, wiser, and more compassionate.
Most importantly, I’d tell him to trust the journey, embrace the process, and never underestimate the impact his story could have, not just on his own life, but on the lives of veterans, creators, and the communities he would one day serve through podcasting and advocacy.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, the public version of me is absolutely the real me, but it’s also the refined version of me. What people see on my podcasts, at events, or in my advocacy work is the same person my wife Courtney, my friends, and my family know: someone who has walked through fire, learned hard lessons, and turned that into a mission to uplift others.
That said, the public version of me is also intentional. I share my story and my work with purpose, knowing that my platform can encourage veterans, creators, and leaders to keep going. Behind the microphone and the brand, I’m still the same guy, husband, veteran, who’s trying to grow, stay grounded, and make a difference.
So while the public me is polished for clarity and impact, it’s rooted in the same authenticity, values, and experiences that define who I truly am.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
I think the thing people might most misunderstand about my legacy is that it’s solely about my accomplishments, my podcasts, awards, or leadership roles. While those are visible milestones, the real legacy I hope to leave is the impact I’ve had on others: the veterans who found a renewed sense of purpose, the creators I’ve mentored, and the communities that have grown stronger through the stories we amplify.
It’s easy to see the outward markers of success and assume that’s the whole story. But my legacy is really about resilience, service, and helping others step into their own potential. It’s about turning challenges into platforms for transformation and ensuring that the voices that often go unheard are finally heard. That human impact is what I hope people remember long after the spotlight fades.
