Story & Lesson Highlights with Jazsmine Caprie of Florida

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Jazsmine Caprie . Check out our conversation below.

Hi Jazsmine , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
My son, my son brings me joy every morning, every day, every night! It’s weird because the last time I did an interview with you all what made me happy and what was bringing me joy was my skin care. Now don’t get me wrong, my skin care line most definitely does make me happy and brings me joy, but lately my son has brought me the most joy!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
first and foremost, I am a creator. My background is fashion. I’ve done personal shopping for artists and individuals. I’ve done styling on photo shoots and video shoots. I am a fashion designer, and I am also a licensed esthetician. My brand is Jai Smadi and I have a holistic skin care line called Jai Smadi Skin. I started my skin care line in the comfort of my own home in my kitchen five years ago. It’s hard to believe it’s been five years, the time has flown by having fun!

What special about my brand is I don’t focus on selling products. I focus on helping people. My brand is not just built results and 5 start reviews, my brand is built on the healing. Healing people from the inside out. Was special about my brand is that it was God-given I did not create my brand alone. God gave me this vision and he gave me a mission. The vision was Jai Smadi and the mission was to help heal people with the help of God!

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I was me… simply unfiltered, unconditioned, and untouched by expectations.

I was curiosity before I was told what to focus on.
I was creativity before I was told what was “good enough.”
I was emotion before I was told what was “too much.”
I was whole before I was told what you lacked.

Before the world began shaping me with its stories, rules, labels, and pressures, I was simply being.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I stopped hiding my pain and started using it as power when I decided to take my power back.

It wasn’t until I realized I lost my power that I even knew I was hiding my pain. For a long time I thought I was just living with my pain and working on healing from it, but all the while I was hiding from my pain and that’s what was causing me to not heal and loose my power.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
absolutely. The public version of me is most definitely the real me. However, I will say there are parts of me that I have not fully disclosed or decided to be transparent with. There is a part of me that is not ready to be that vulnerable; but I do feel like once I allow myself to be that vulnerable it will not only help my business, but it will help those who listen.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel the most at peace when I’m looking at my son by the grace of God he is my greatest creation. The second thing that brings me the most peace is when I’m reading my customers testimonies. Knowing that something I created has brought another person some resolve or comfort or peace for this instance brings me a feeling that I can’t explain. I am humbly grateful to be in this position, to help heal others!
