Story & Lesson Highlights with Kelia Stuart

Kelia Stuart shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Kelia , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What are you chasing, and what would happen if you stopped?
For a long time, I found myself chasing — chasing dreams, people, and opportunities that I thought would bring fulfillment. But chasing often led me down paths where I ended up lost and disconnected from myself. I realized that I didn’t actually know what I truly wanted; I was simply moving toward whatever looked appealing in the moment.

Over time, I learned that life isn’t about chasing — it’s about aligning. We are all on a journey toward purpose, each of us traveling a unique path designed specifically for our growth and fulfillment. Along the way, many people and opportunities will cross our path, but not everything that comes our way is meant for us.

That’s why it’s so important to pause and gain clarity about what we truly desire for our lives. When you know who you are and what you want, alignment becomes natural. You begin to recognize what belongs to you and what does not. You no longer chase; you allow.

The things, people, and experiences meant for you will never require you to run after them — they will flow toward you with ease as you continue walking in your truth. Stay present, stay grounded, and trust that everything meant for you will meet you on your path at the perfect time.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a woman who has walked through fire and chosen to rise every single time. Life tested me early with emotional and traumatic experiences, but instead of letting them define me, I allowed them to shape me into who I was always meant to become. I learned to find strength in stillness, purpose in pain, and peace in surrender.

I’m a proud mother of three beautiful children — they are my heartbeat and my greatest motivation. Balancing motherhood with my career in family legal services has taught me patience, empathy, and resilience. It’s also what inspired me to pursue law — I recently completed my Pre-Law and Policy degree and am now preparing to enroll in law school. My dream is to become a Family Law Attorney, helping families heal and rebuild after facing some of life’s hardest battles.

I’m also a writer at heart. I write self-help and spiritual healing books and share my journey through my blog. Writing allows me to pour my soul into words that help others find their way back to themselves. I believe in the power of alignment — that we don’t have to chase what’s meant for us; we just have to become who we’re meant to be, and what’s for us will find us.

Outside of my purpose work, I love to stay active — working out is my therapy. I enjoy cooking, spending time with my kids, and traveling to new places where I can learn, grow, and connect with different perspectives.

At the core of who I am, I’m a woman who chooses peace over battles and faith over fear. I’m constantly evolving, constantly learning, and always trusting that everything in my life is unfolding exactly as it should. No matter what challenges come my way, I know I’m a winner — and I always win big.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I used to believe that something was wrong with me—that I didn’t belong anywhere. I struggled with low self-esteem and was often bullied, which made me feel like an outsider no matter where I went. I thought my differences were flaws, and I spent so much time trying to blend in, to be accepted, to fit into spaces that were never meant for me.

But through my journey—through growth, faith, and healing—I’ve come to realize that I was never a misfit. I was chosen. I was set apart. God never intended for me to fit in; He designed me to stand out. Today, I no longer see my uniqueness as a weakness but as a divine assignment. I now know I was created to lead with purpose, to shine light in dark places, and to win people over for God—not by blending in, but by boldly walking in who He called me to be.

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
The defining wounds of my life were birthed out of rejection, survival, and pain. I’ve known what it feels like to be unwanted, to endure domestic abuse, to raise children as a single mother while living in poverty—and to quietly wonder if I was ever truly worthy of love, peace, or prosperity. For a long time, I carried those wounds like they defined me.

But healing came when I stopped seeing myself as a victim of my story and began to see myself as the vessel God was shaping through it. I healed by confronting my pain, choosing forgiveness, and allowing God to rebuild my identity from the inside out. I learned that I am not what I went through—I am who I became because of it. Today, I live knowing I am worthy, chosen, and fully deserving of the life of love, peace, and abundance that once felt impossible.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m fully committed to my growth and evolution, no matter how long it takes. My goal is to become the woman God has called me to be—fulfilling my purpose through law and serving my community in family legal matters. At the end of the day, I am the project I’m devoted to, and with patience, consistency, and vision, I know I’ll continue becoming her.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope that people will say that I had become the woman God called me to be—steadfast in purpose and devoted to serving through law and advocacy for families in my community. I hope people share that my journey was one of patience, consistency, and faith, and every step shaped me into who I was before I evolved to the next level of life. I hope people are able to say that I was a project for myself always looking for ways to make something about myself better, and through God’s grace, I fulfilled what I was created to do.
