We’re looking forward to introducing you to KT Dang. Check out our conversation below.
KT, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me starts pretty early, usually before my three kids are awake. I use that quiet time to get ready and do my skincare routine. Once they’re up, it’s a busy morning of getting everyone dressed, fed, and out the door for therapy, school and daycare.
After drop-offs, if I don’t have an early client, I usually head to the gym, then come home for a quick shower before starting work. My workday is a mix of client appointments, running errands, checking emails, managing social media, restocking inventory, ordering products, cleaning my spa space, booking appointments, and following up with clients.
In the afternoon, I pick the kids up and switch back into mom mode. We spend time together at home, I make dinner, help with homework, clean up, and get everyone ready for bed. Once the kids are down, I wind down with my nighttime routine and head to bed, ready to do it all again the next day.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m the founder of Revitalize Skin by KT, a skincare brand built on the belief that healthy skin is the foundation of confidence. I specialize in HydraFacial treatments and luxury Korean skincare facials, using advanced techniques and high-quality products to restore, nourish, and maintain the skin at its healthiest state.
What makes my approach different is that I don’t believe in quick fixes. I focus on skin health first, educating my clients and creating customized treatments that support long-term maintenance, not just temporary glow. To me, skincare is both science and care, it’s about confidence, consistency, and honoring your skin at every stage.
Building this brand hasn’t been without challenges, but my determination to achieve my goals has always been stronger than the barriers in front of me. Every obstacle has shaped my work ethic and deepened my passion for helping others feel confident in their own skin.
Revitalize Skin by KT is more than a facial, it’s a space where clients can slow down, feel cared for, and invest in themselves. I’m constantly growing, learning, and working on ways to elevate the experience while staying true to my mission: healthy skin, maintained with intention and care.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
The person who saw me clearly before I could see myself has always been my husband. From the very beginning, his devotion to me, our family, and my passions was unwavering. Even when he traveled frequently to see me in Vietnam, he was patient, kind, loving, protective, and had a wonderful sense of humor that made everything feel lighter.
His care and belief in me created a space where I could trust myself, believe in my dreams, and feel safe. I agreed to marry him not only because of the love we share, but because he believed in me and my vision long before I fully believed in it myself and he continues to support me every day.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that has held me back the most has been the language barrier. Moving from Vietnam to America, English was my second language, and I often felt insecure about communicating clearly, both in expressing myself and in fully understanding what others were saying. That fear made me feel like I couldn’t accomplish a lot of things or reach my full potential.
Over time, I’ve worked hard to overcome it by continuing to educate myself, practice, and learn every day. That journey has not only expanded my knowledge and language skills but also given me the confidence to pursue my goals and embrace opportunities I once thought were out of reach. It’s taught me that growth often comes from facing your fears and pushing through them, even when it feels uncomfortable.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that what matters most to me is integrity, honesty, and staying true to my values. Beyond that, they know that my family’s well-being is at the center of everything I do. I always prioritize creating a loving, supportive environment for them and making decisions that align with both my principles and what’s best for the people I love and the people around me.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I see my family and close friends happy, healthy, and thriving. Life can be challenging and often throws unexpected curveballs, but in those rare moments when everything aligns, and I can pause to sit back, breathe, and truly appreciate the life my husband and I have built together, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Being able to reflect on our blessings, the love we share, and the life we’ve created brings me a deep, lasting peace that reminds me of what truly matters.
