We recently had the chance to connect with natalie dragt and have shared our conversation below.
Hi natalie, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
Honestly, it’s the culture within my team. We’re an all-women team made up of incredibly talented women from around the world, and the bond we’ve built is something quite powerful. From the outside, people might see the brand, the growth, or the wins. But behind the scenes, there’s a family thats there for one another through the ups and downs!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Natalie Dragt, the founder of We Speak Socials, a content agency and We Speak Socials Creator Club Academy, a global community helping women become high-ticket content creators. I started this brand with one mission: to help women get paid well to create content. What makes us different is that we’re not just teaching content… we’re building careers.
Through our programs, women from all over the world are landing retainer clients, developing a sales skillset, and building real freedom, without needing huge followings or fancy studios. Right now, I’m most focused on expanding our Academy and continuing to flip the creator economy on its head.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
A moment that completely reshaped how I see the creator world was when I became the face of multiple brands, scripting, filming, and creating content that actually converted. Not just for myself, but for businesses that paid well for the skill of creating. I realized: this was the most sustainable, overlooked path for creators to make real income.
But at the same time, I saw talented creators struggling, not because they lacked skill, but because this industry rewards visibility over value. They were chasing virality instead of ownership. When I started sharing what I was doing with a few creator friends, it was like a lightbulb went off. They saw the opportunity, tried it, and it worked.
That’s when I knew I had to build something bigger, a space where creators weren’t just taught how to go viral, but how to build a business. A real, high-income career rooted in skills, not likes. That’s what drives everything I do today: helping women land high-ticket retainers, master sales, and finally own their time. We’re rewriting the rules, one client, one creator, one contract at a time.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Mental resilience, hands down. I’m actually grateful for the hard moments, the scrappy beginnings, the nights I questioned everything. I built this company from nothing but a dorm room and a dream, and that kind of start forces you to toughen up fast. Success feels great, but it doesn’t build you, struggle does. Now, the resilience I’ve built isn’t just mine. It’s something I get to pass on to every woman who joins our world. I can look them in the eye and say, “I’ve been there and you can get through it too.”
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m committed to empowering women to build the business, film the video, pitch the client, and turn their goals into reality, no matter where they start from. When I first began building my business, I joined a few entrepreneurial masterminds, and it was very much an all-boys club. Nothing wrong with that, but I was underestimated, talked over, and overlooked. I didn’t have a community to lean on, and that isolation lit a fire in me.
Now, I’m committed to creating what I didn’t have, a space where women from around the world can come together to create, grow, and build their empires unapologetically. That’s the mission. That’s the movement. And I’m not stopping.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Isn’t that entrepreneurship in a nutshell? I think people romanticize this lifestyle — the Porsches, the Europe trips, the designer bags, but the real story is 15+ hour days, silent sacrifices, and doing the work even when nobody claps for you. No one truly sees what you carry unless they’re building right beside you.
The best entrepreneurs don’t get into it for praise, they get into it knowing it’ll be hard. They show up because they believe in what they’re building, even if it doesn’t pay off for years. That’s the beautiful game we all sign up for when we decide to become entrepreneurs.
