We’re looking forward to introducing you to Tam Nicole Jones. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Tam Nicole, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity is most important to me. I believe integrity shows true intelligence because it guides how we apply knowledge in a way that is honest, responsible, and respectful. At the same time, integrity naturally attracts positive energy and builds trust with others. With integrity as the foundation, intelligence becomes purposeful, and energy is directed toward meaningful impact.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Tam, and I am the owner of Tam Nicole Esthetics Studios and Spa, a Black woman-owned business built on the belief that glowing skin is always in. I’ve been an esthetician for almost 20 years and a spa owner for 5, and my passion has always been helping people feel confident, cared for, and educated about their skin and overall wellness.
What makes my brand unique is that we don’t just offer facials, waxing, and body services we create an intimate, relaxing atmosphere where every client feels safe, respected, and appreciated. My team brings over 40 years of combined experience, and we focus on giving working adults the self-care they deserve while also teaching them how to care for themselves beyond the treatment room.
Right now, I’m expanding my business by growing my staff and launching new projects, including the release of my Unicorn Face Oil. A luxury Marula oil blend that nourishes, balances, and restores the skin’s glow. It’s a product born from my passion for results driven, natural skincare, and I’m excited to share it with the world.
At the heart of everything I do is a commitment to integrity, education, and empowerment—helping people glow from the inside out.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
The person who saw me clearly before I could see myself was my oldest daughter, Xoe. She has always believed in me, even in moments when I doubted myself. Through her eyes, I learned to recognize my own strength, resilience, and purpose. She saw the woman I was becoming long before I could, and her faith in me continues to push me to keep going and to keep growing. Today, my four daughters Xoe, Xion, Xaria, and Laila continue to inspire me daily. They remind me of why I do what I do and motivate me to keep striving for more.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one kind thing to my younger self, it would be: You are smart, capable, and worthy. You don’t need a man to define your success you can create it for yourself. Trust your voice, speak up for yourself, and never shrink who you are to make others comfortable.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
No, the public version of me isn’t the full me. Social media can make it seem like I’m very social and outgoing, but in reality I’m quiet and very introverted. I share parts of myself and my work online, but the truest version of me is more reserved, observant, and deeply reflective.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
What I understand deeply that most people don’t is that nothing truly matters if it doesn’t bring you real happiness. No amount of education, accolades, or praise can fill the void if your heart isn’t in it. Joy and fulfillment are the true measures of success, and everything else is secondary.
