Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Callies.
Hi Brandon, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Deadwind Howler came together because we’ve been friends for many years. We started talking about how we should record a record together, and we are finally making that happen.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The only issue we really run into is time. We all play in other bands that are our primary focus, so creating the time to work on material and perform live can be difficult at times. When we do get together, things run very smoothly.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We are a band from Dallas, TX. We specialize in writing and recording original music. We are most proud of being able to come together as friends and create something special. We have a lot of fun when we are together, and I think that is the thing that shows most.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.
I don’t think luck has played much of a role in this band. We work pretty hard individually and as a collective.
