Meet Aston Majors

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aston Majors.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Aston. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
A vision I had back in college was to pursue a lifestyle brand called “Mjrs Brand”. Something that’s so simply applicable to everybody’s life. It’s too many people out there chasing wealth and dollar signs to post on social media to fill insecurity voids. Rather than finding something they genuinely love and pursuing that. The money will follow but happiness is only thing you die with value. So, I partnered with two friends to build a business around that and create clothing and help give back into the community. Spreading joy. I also battled with suicide and insecurities being half blind. So, this is even more an outlook and a passion to bring happiness to the world.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been tough at the start. Such as making sure we’re consistent. Figuring out our goals and want out of this. Didn’t want anyone to feel like they’re wasting time. Also, it being an original concept of mines getting them to believe in that vision and now they’re 100% behind it. Lastly figuring out workloads was tough since we’re in difficult states.

Mjrs. Brand – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My roles in the business is oversee the finances/legal & be a creative director. I’m the proudest of the company is the positive responses from it when people wear our stuff. Seeing people wear a “Maintain Joy” shirt from two years ago. Also, that it’s growing and we’ve dedicated time to get this off the ground. Not procrastinate. This sets us apart from others in our tier is most are just selling products. Not giving back to the community/helping the audience benefit from something. We love to help people and even helped give sanitizer in this time to our audience. Donated to charities. Celebrate holidays with our audience in this covid 19 time. We’re about the people. We move based on their lifestyle.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Simply just proving doubters wrong. Who would’ve thought I would be in the situation I’m in. As crazy as it sounds just being one more successful African American in America. It’s better but still tough.
