Dena, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Inspired by faith, conviction, and devotion. As a child, I enticed to create the “art of hair.” I never actually realized it would turn into a profession until I reached college. This was when my real journey in life was evoked. I needed to find my pursuit of happiness and enjoy my true passion as an entrepreneur in the salon industry. Eleven months after I received my cosmetology license I began my business, Anedena Salon. After several years in the same location, I decided to relocate my business closer to historic downtown Frisco, Texas. Anedena Salon is in a charming Downtown House. Our Salon Professionals individually have over 20 years of experience. Each Stylist occupies a room with a designated shampoo and dryer area. We enrich our client experience with a comfortable environment, quality service, and a place to “beYOUtiful”!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like any small or large business owner, some struggles define who we are today and the challenges we rise above. There is an enormous amount of responsibility in day-to-day business as well as a consistent learning curve adapting to the unknown or unpredictable. As a single mother balancing the operation of a successful business; providing for your child and spending time with him sometimes conflict. My solution was to create an environment at “Anedena Salon” that can be a home away from home, with a presence of warmth and family.

Anedena Salon is a full-service hair salon that provides care, inspiration, education, and quality design to all of our clients. We cater to men, woman, and children of every age. While we are masters of every hair service, we all have a skillful niche from Hair Extensions, Bridal Styling, Color Design and Chemical Correction to Specialized Hair Cutting. The diverse beauty and expertise of our stylists transcend new hair ideas without disregarding the classics. We appeal and gratify the fusion of business, leisure and family clientele alike. As a team, we believe our passion, experience, attitude and “family style” set us apart from any other salon environment.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
The most important factor to our success is our clients. Without their continued support and confidence in us, we would not be where we are today. Our priority and passion are dedicated to our client’s needs, vision, and comfort.
