Today we’d like to introduce you to Eve Henry.
Eve, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve literally grown up in the real estate business. My family owned a real estate firm in the Atlanta area for over 40 years so I’ve been working this business as long as I can remember. I’ve been a licensed Realtor for over 14 years and am licensed in three states (Texas, Florida and Georgia) I also have several designations including Accredited Luxury Home Specialist, New Construction Specialist and Condo Specialist, however, I recently received my most important designation of CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist). I’m most proud of this accomplishment! I’m now part of a very small network of Global Specialist. I’m so proud to be able to serve my clients all over the world and I’m now working on learning several new languages! In addition to being a full-time Realtor, I’m blessed beyond measure to have six amazing children. Yes, six. 🙂 I’m often asked how I do it? I’m incredibly organized, plan all our meals, schedule and prioritize our one on one time. I’m also extremely blessed to have the most amazing husband, Steve Henry. One of my most favorite hobbies is to coach softball! I’m the coach for the Prosper Pride 14u girls and they are my heart!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Oh, gracious… certainly bumpy. Real estate is feast or famine for sure. We always wanted a large family so each time I would have a baby, I would have to scale back my work for a bit which can be very detrimental in this business so I’ve spent years going up and down in a cycle of lots of clients to scrounging around for any business I could find. There are certainly learning curves for each state as well. Sometimes, it’s a struggle keeping up with exact laws and regulations in different states but I have a great big whiteboard in my office with all the key procedures. Being a mom to so many can be a challenge too. Softball, cheerleading, basketball, cross country and lacrosse all keep me SUPER busy but thankfully I have a huge support network of friends, other coaches and family. I’m incredibly blessed.
Eve Henry Homes – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
As I mentioned, I own Eve Henry Homes which is a Fathom Realty Affiliate. I do all types of real estate but specialize in the Luxury market. I’m licensed in three states (Texas, Georgia, and Florida) which is very unique. Most agents are only licensed in one place but I’m an Atlanta native and worked there for many years before my husband got transferred. So, I got licensed in Texas when we moved here and set up a team in Georgia and Florida so I could continue. My most proud accomplishment was that I was recently designated as a CIPS – Certified International Property Specialist! Out of the 1.3 Million Realtors in the US, only 0.03% of us hold this designation. I am not comfortable working anywhere in the world!!! I think these designations plus the fact that I’m also a mom to 6 fabulous children makes me a little special. 🙂
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
To me, success is doing the most good for most people in a way that glorifies God and my family. I don’t measure success by the number of transactions or amount of money I make. Those things all fall away eventually. I want to do the MOST good. I want to make an impact on people and leave them better than when I first met them. I want first time home buyers to look back 20 years from now and think “I understand this process because Eve took the time to teach me”. That’s a success for me!
