Today we’d like to introduce you to Klashae Bullard.
Klashae, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My name is Klashae’ and I started this company after being laid off. I wanted to do something I was already doing for free for people. Creating websites, managing social media, and a virtual assistant. Klashaeb was a wonderful way to get paid doing what I already love doing, which is consulting and managing social media. I also partnered with a wonderful non- Profit organization called Hatching Hope For Autism. Doing all this allowed me the freedom to be home with my youngest daughter who is only eight month old. So you can see how being able to work for myself bring me joy especially as a single mom.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
That’s funny that you asked that, haha! I do not think any business is a smooth ride. You have your ups and downs. You have to search for your clients yourself. Social media become a full-time job, Sun-Sat. There are lots of emails being sent and always having to be on your game to make sure that you are growing as a company with consistent clients.
Please tell us more about your work. What do you do? What do you specialize in? What sets you apart from competition?
My business specializes in social media management on all platforms as well as I do Administrative work for clients as well, which consists of email management and much much more. The lists goes on!
I am most proud of the connections I have made. I love meeting new people. My clients teach me and every day is a learning experience because as well know social media is changing every day. You have to be on top of all the new trends and be in front of it for the most part. What sets me apart is that I am real. I value myself in making sure that my clients can depend on me and understand that their vision is now my vision. We work hard together. We cry together. We do it all together. At the end of the day, we become familia (family).
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Let me tell you one of my biggest clients was someone that had been following me on social media for a while and I did not even know. I just tell people all the time be genuine to your brand and to yourself and you will make it. Also, be mindful of the people who find you off of a simple hashtag. Those people are watching.
