Today we’d like to introduce you to Madison David.
Madison, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My creative journey started at a very young age picking up any right-brained hobby I could throw my hands into. Photography, dance, painting, calligraphy, and acting, along with many others, added a sheen to my childhood that I carried with me into my adult life. In adulthood, these pastimes molded into business models where I could let my creative flag fly as a profession. When social media became all the rage I’d say I jumped in headfirst rather than dipped my toe in. An eye for photography and a love for content creation soon went hand in hand. It was a new leap, but one that I felt utmost confidence in. Now my niche rests in a hybrid of content creating and blogging. The greatest part about content creation is sharing pieces of my life with those who can find it relatable, beneficial, and enjoyable. With that, my brand doesn’t solely consist of me, nor would I want it to. My brand is made up of my loving life-partner, Hudson, our energy-filled Pom-mix, Edison, and myself + whatever fun we can find along the way. One thing I adore about the industry is the community it’s made up of. I’ve met so many incredible people, worked with some of my favorite brands, and that alone lights me up daily. Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I feel like every week there is a new challenge, something new to learn, or simply a new facet of the blogging world to get on top of, which is never a bad thing! It keeps us on our toes on how to navigate the waters of this industry.
Please tell us about your work.
I classify myself under the umbrellas of style, community, and travel where I can share my favorite local hotspots, newfound travel destinations, and all the sales + latest trends I can find. As a brand, I am most proud of how far we’ve come in such a seemingly short span of time. I’ve heard stories that it takes 5, 7, sometimes 10 years! I believe that what sets me apart from those stories is that I look to the industry role models who are doing it well and mold to their strategies. That’s the secret to what we do.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
The right blend of being humble and confident, for sure! People can feel when you aren’t genuine and that’s something that will make or break your brand. An audience wants to see what’s real and what’s relatable, that’s the fun in it!
