Meet Stella Ramola

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stella Ramola.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Stella, So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am a contemporary Christian singer and a faith-based, lifestyle blogger. I create content that inspires people to live their best lives, giving them hope and enabling them to express their love for God as I do. Because of my passion for music, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Music Business. I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Digital Marketing, as well as consistently uploading original music and covers on YouTube, gaining over four million views.

In 2011, I used my interest in social media to create inspirational quotes and posts which motivated thousands who followed my page. In 2014, I released a Tamil album, titled “Velichem Thedi”, filled with traditional and contemporary styles of music. I went on to host two seasons of a Biblical Game Show called “Do You Know Your Bible?”, which aired on regional television networks in India as well as on YouTube. Thousands of people, of all ages, learned about the truths in the Bible, in a fun way, through these episodes.

In 2016, I went on a four-city tour in India, singing well-known Christian and gospel songs, encouraging young people to let loose, dance and praise God in those concerts. I shared my testimony and expressed that everyone has a unique purpose on this earth, and through the Holy Spirit they are able to live out God’s plan, no matter what struggles they go through.

I express my thoughts on the “lifestyle of a follower of Christ” through my blogs and YouTube videos. Through my YouTube channel, “Stellazlife,” I express how I represent myself as a young person who loves God while living my everyday life, including Him in all that I do.

I am also a part of UTurn, the youth wing of Jesus Calls. UTurn is a lifestyle that leads young people into real happiness and power to shine in their life’s purpose. Through UTurn, I get to travel to different places to share my thoughts on how young people can live a holy lifestyle and shine for Christ in many events. The main goal, no matter who we are, is to love one another, as that is the greatest command and spread the aroma of Christ in everything that we do.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I was born and brought up in Chennai, India where my parents and grandparents are widely known for being the face of the Jesus Calls ministry. From a young age, my parents encouraged me to sing Christian songs for children, in public prayer meetings where about 10,000-500,000 people would gather. When I was a teenager, my family decided to move from India to a different country, to establish the ministry in that place. As a result, I packed my bags and said goodbye to my life in India. Making new friends was a difficult task for my then introvert-self, which made me lose myself to the despair of loneliness. Self-doubting thoughts ran through my mind, wondering why God would allow me to go through a dark time in my life when I had to drop everything to move to a place where God asked me to.

I felt unworthy, unloved and alone. When I was at my lowest, one afternoon, a thought flashed before me. I saw the image of Jesus, hanging on the cross, dripping with blood, with his body torn to pieces – all alone. This made me realize that Jesus Christ understands my feeling of loneliness. I knew that His Holy Spirit will always be with me and comfort me as a friend, whenever I felt lonely. I decided to give my life completely to Christ and surrender my life to give glory back to Him in everything I do, from that moment on. I made a commitment to make music that inspires others to remember the sacrificial and unending love of God.

I am most proud of the fact that I could show people through my life how someone this young can follow and love Christ to the fullest.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment of my career has to be being the headliner of a concert tour when I was 18. I got to travel with the most talented musicians in my city and was able to live out my dream at such a young age. I am also proud of the fact that I can produce my own content on YouTube as I inspire others to live a positive lifestyle.
