Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremie Perryman.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Jeremie. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Growing up in a small town of West Texas population 2000 there was a need for being self efficient. Meaning there wasn’t a plumbing service, electrical service, or home improvement service within 52 miles. If you were to call one of the services it would cost you a week’s pay check. My grandfather Darrel Graves was a man of great knowledge of carpentry, electrical work, plumbing and everyday handyman projects. Growing up he always had me under his wing teaching me everything he knew so I would be self efficient. This was the foundation of the beginning of my handyman career. Once I end my service in the United States Marine Corps, I got my Associates of Applied Science in Electronics and Computer Technology from DeVry University. Once I graduated, I started my career in construction traveling around the United States building Wind Turbines, Electrical Substations, and concrete Domes working on both Mechanical, Electrical and Structural sides of the industry. Traveling for years on end living in and out of hotels/motels I decided it was time to settle down and take all the knowledge I have from my experiences of on hand training and Start my own business here in the DFW Metroplex. I have been in business here in the DFW for two years and business is growing at an experiential rate. I handle residential and commercial handyman projects from fixing a door knob to total home remodel. My business is knowledgeable of old school procedures as well as new innovated technology techniques. One thing that stands out from the rest of the competition is my small town personal treatment. I don’t treat my customers as just another client I treat them like a close personal friend.
Has it been a smooth road?
It hasn’t or still isn’t all fireworks and parades. Financial struggles are a big factor of my growing business, there are slow months and some months which there is so much work coming in I can barely keep up. Finding a balance between the two is a struggle.
So, let’s switch gears a bit and go into the JPerryman Handyman story. Tell us more about the business.
I offer carpentry, tiling, small electrical, small plumbing, painting, texturing, drywall repair, appliance installation, and every day handyman needs. My country home town treatment and quality of workmanship sets me apart from the rest.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The industry will continue to flourish as DFW continues to grow.
