Crystal, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started The Bella Collection January 2018 just trusting God and having so many people ask me when I was going to move forward with this dream I had for so many years. I would always put together looks for my family members and close friends. I would get compliments on things that I put together for myself.
After attending numerous fashion camps and interning with some great designers and wardrobe stylist I knew then I had to move forward with what God has called me to do. I believe I got where I am today just by praying for clarity and guidance. On my way to my nine to five, he gave me my business name The Bella Collection. I knew then I wanted to move forward with my wardrobe styling and personal shopping experience, but something was missing.
I thought I should open an online boutique with some of the similar pieces I’ve always received compliments on, so that’s also something I am working on. Being able to help bring other peoples vision to life is such an awesome feeling.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Let me tell you are becoming an entrepreneur isn’t easy at all, but it’s absolutely worth it. I have learned so much just by reaching out for mentoring, interning to still learn as much as I can to help sharpen my own skills.
My very first photo shoot was the moment I felt everything was actually happening. Being a part of someone else’s dream and sit back and watch my work was such an amazing feeling.
I knew then I had to keep going no matter how difficult the journey would be. Because I am a believer of Christ, I made sure to keep my mission Proverbs 16:3 which states “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”
I had no idea what I wanted to do with my huge dream, but I knew that if I just let him guide me through it, all everything would turn out according to His will.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with The Bella Collection – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am the owner of The Bella Collection. I specialize in wardrobe styling and personal shopping. If someone needs help with a photo shoot, I can do it. Choosing a look for date night, I can do it. Going out of the box for day to day looks I can do it. I also make sure my clients understand that everything doesn’t have to be expensive for it to look good.
Its all about the confidence and letting your light shine for God is my main purpose when I’m styling. Being able to showcase my talent for people who had no idea I even had this passion has been such an awesome experience. Even while working with clients I’m still learning. It is the best feeling ever.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plans for the future consist of just expanding my brand and not just locally. Of course, everything starts at home so being able to branch out is something I’m looking forward to.
I’m looking to work with more entrepreneurs in the Dallas area and surrounding cities to do more collaboration for their brands as well as mine. I will also continue interning to gain as much knowledge as I can to perfect my current skills.
Just being able to market myself more and do more local collaborations and constantly building my clientele are some of my current short-term goals. Lastly, I’m looking forward to being able to branch out and travel out of state to clients for the upcoming year.
Pricing:
- Service: A deposit fee of $50 (non-refundable) will be required 2 days after your consultation. This fee applies to secure the appointment. Must be paid when an agreement has been signed and emailed back. This will also cover commuting to each location.
- Fitting fee of $50.00 will be applied for fitting alteration once the pieces arrive if ordered online.
- Shopping Rate of $20.00 an hour must be paid at the time of service.
