Meet Stephanie Chung of Stephanie Chung and Associates in Uptown Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Chung.

Stephanie, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I grew up an air force brat and because of that I knew early on I wanted to work in the aviation industry. I started my career as a customer service representative for USAir and eventually got promoted into sales. With my sales expertise in aviation, I was then recruited to work in private jet sales. I soon learned that I was now selling to a high net-worth client base and had to adjust my sales techniques as well as my way of thinking to connect with my wealthy clients and close deals.

In 2014, I decided that with more than 25 years of high-ticket selling experience at Fortune 500 companies and having well over 15 years as a corporate executive responsible for an annual quota of nearly a billion dollars in revenue, I was ready to launch Stephanie Chung and Associates. Since launching my company, I have mentored numerous sales and business professionals and expanded my reach to advise audiences by appearing on ABC, NBC, CBS, radio shows and major publications including Inc., Black Enterprise Magazine, Sales Mastery Magazine and The Network Journal.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I grew up on different military bases and was forced to become a change master early on in life, I quickly learned to seize new opportunities, challenges and adventures. Growing up with this mentality taught me to always aim for excellence in my personal and professional life.

In 2008, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was a tough battle but I was determined to fight and beat the terrible disease, which I am grateful to say that I did! Since that experience, I’ve learned to appreciate the little things in life.

My experiences and positive outlook on life has encouraged me to overcome challenges and become a strong, successful woman and entrepreneur.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Stephanie Chung and Associates – what should we know?
Stephanie Chung and Associates offer sales training, executive coaching, and small business mentorship services nationwide. With more than 25 years of team management, business development, and sales leadership experience I have had the honor of speaking at many conferences and earning business coaching awards.

I credit my deep passion for what I do and my strong support system for playing a major role in my company’s success. But I truly feel successful after seeing how far my clients have come and what they’ve done to improve themselves and their business. My clients’ success and the awards I win confirm that I’m fulfilling my passion and purpose.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Having a strong support system and gaining great management skills. I’ve been fortunate to have had many leaders and mentors. Many taught me valuable skills and lessons that I have applied throughout my career.

My family has also been a strong support system. They encourage me and make me laugh when I need it. I also have a strong faith, which keeps me positive every single day.
