Today we’d like to introduce you to Patricia Barreras.
Patricia, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Blogging has always been something I wanted to do ever since high school. It took me years to gain the courage to start a blog. I knew I was not the best writer and the fear of people judging me and no one reading my posts was the reasons why I always put it off.
It wasn’t until May of 2017 that I realized it shouldn’t matter what other people think. Blogging was something I wanted to do for myself. As a current nursing student, there are times when I want a break from the books. I saw that blogging was a great opportunity to be my creative outlet where I am able to share my passion for fashion, travel, and spreading positivity.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I have been blogging for a little over six months now and I am still learning. From my experience, it has been a rollercoaster. There are times when things are going smoothly and there are times when it is rough. I think the biggest obstacle I am currently facing is gaining traffic. The blogging community is very saturated and Instagram’s algorithm makes it tricky to get featured.
Although it can be discouraging at times, I don’t let it get to me. I love my following and I am grateful to have a wonderful connection with them. They are very encouraging and I am glad to have people that support me.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Life Well Caffeinated – what should we know?
Life Well Caffeinated is where I am able to share my love for fashion, travel, and of course, coffee. I mostly share fashion related posts with my followers pertaining to sales and affordable clothes. In addition, I share my travel tips and experiences and I am known for sharing my favorite coffee spots around the Dallas area.
The biggest thing I am most proud of about Life Well Caffeinated is how I am able to share all the things I love while simultaneously spreading positivity. Keeping a positive mindset is very important to me and I try to use Life Well Caffeinated to spread that positivity. It is what sets me apart from others.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
The biggest supporter I have had is Lesley Diana. She is a blogger residing in the DFW area. We started following each other and officially met when we decided to meet up for coffee. It was through our mutual love for blogging and fashion that created our friendship. I am forever grateful to have met someone like her because she has encouraged me to keep going and never give up on what I love to do.
