Javia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I got into tarot reading while going through a divorce. It was an extremely tough time in my life & while going through it, I would spend a lot of time at a metaphysical shop buying crystals & sage to keep my energy grounded during that time. On one of my trips to get some crystals, I was drawn to the tarot card section. It was then that I bought my first deck of cards. I took it home & was a natural at reading. So, I started my “business” two days later, charging an extremely low price. Months passed by of me predicting all kinds of things for my clients & seeing them happen before I realized that I was a clairsentient psychic. Over time, I continued to grow my business by networking & my amazing clients coming back on a regular basis as well as sending their friends and family to me. Through networking, I was given an amazing opportunity to read tarot cards for celebrities at an event in Atlanta. Hard work, dedication, & a passion for what I do has got me to where I am today & it’s only the beginning.
Has it been a smooth road?
Whew… it’s definitely not been a smooth road. For one, because I’m a psychic when I get asked about what I do, I get mixed reactions. I’ve had people doubt me. One of the biggest challenges was when I was still working full time & I would be booked out a month in advance. It was extremely hard to manage both when my business started really picking up. Another challenge was when it came time to quit my job to do it full time. I literally had to choose between one or the other. Of course, I chose my business, but that was terrifying.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I am a psychic tarot reader, spiritual advisor, and Reiki practitioner. Essentially, I use the tarot cards as a tool to tap into the energy of my clients in order to provide them with clarity, guidance, & confirmation. With Reiki, I use healing energy to remove any blockages, align my client’s chakras, & help reduce stress, anxiety, depression, etc. I’m most proud of being able to make a difference in the lives of my clients. I love seeing them progress & manifest things that I told them would happen. What sets me apart is the personal relationship I have with my clients. They come back so often that I’ve built amazing relationships with them, that trust is there. My clients & I even randomly check up on each other if we haven’t done a reading in a while because I genuinely care.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
What I like about Dallas is the diversity, the fact that there’s so much to do. I actually just moved here & I love it! What do I like least? Probably, the traffic, lol. It’s not the worst traffic I’ve ever seen, but it can be pretty bad sometimes.
