Today we’d like to introduce you to Tasha Battle.
Tasha, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started my blog two years ago as a way to express myself. I was able to reach 1000 views in less than three months of making my blog public. I discuss topics ranging from college to faith to relationships. I have been inconsistent in uploading due to school, but I have dedicated this year to my blog. I will be uploading more consistently and making more of an effort to interact with other bloggers in my niche. I also have a youtube channel where I post weekly vlogs on. It’s one of the other hobbies I enjoy to express myself.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No! It hasn’t. It’s been so hard managing school, life, and work. I have tried multiple times to come up with a schedule that works for me, but it always changes due to my hectic schedule. I’m trying my hardest to work on consistency and discipline. I have also struggled with comparisons.
It’s easy for you to look at someone else’s work and compare them to yours. I’ve realized that everyone’s path is different and it’s okay to focus on one’s successes instead of their failures. As long as you see how far you’ve come, your more likely to stay focus on your goals and less on other people.
We’d love to hear more about what you do.
I would consider myself a blogger on the side, I’m currently a full-time accountant, but blogging is truly my passion. I find joy in interacting with people who enjoy empowering one another and motivating one another to follow their dreams. I would say that my blog is all about helping women create their own paths. I’m all about inspiring, promoting, supporting, and guiding women.
I feel like if Beyonce, Oprah, and Lupita can do it, then we can all do it as well. I don’t mean you have to be an entrepreneur or a blogger/influencer, but whatever you want to do you can do it. I want people who come to my page to leave inspired, motivated, and a little bit more knowledgable about certain topics than before they hopped on my page.
What were you like growing up?
I have always been outgoing around my family and close friends. I have since grown to be more outgoing and personable over the years. I would consider myself funny, loyal, and creative. I have always loved to act, write, and read. Overall, I would describe myself as a cool kid with a cool and quirky personality.
