Today we’d like to introduce you to Hernan Cruz.
Hernan, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started Interior Plant Concepts after working for other companies in this industry, and noticing how most offered this service, but did not have the passion for plants and didn’t pay attention to detail as I did.
I’ve always loved plants and I’ve had a “green thumb” my whole life, so after some thinking and encouragement from family and friends, I decided to just jump right in and start my own company.
My first client actually came to me, after I left my employer at that time. She had a beautiful cactus she had received as a gift from her husband, and unfortunately, the company she was using at that time did not know how to care for this plant and it was in deep trouble.
Thankfully, she reached out to me at a perfect time. I was able to come in and access the damage and bring her cactus back to a much better condition. To this day, the cactus is doing amazing, and my client is happy. I was able to use my knowledge and experience to provide a great service for her.
From there on I started adding more clients to my list. From residences with a few plants to businesses with multiple plants, my business has been growing rapidly over the last year, and it’s been amazing working with all my clients by bringing them a little bit of nature into their indoor space.
Has it been a smooth road?
I’m thankful that so far it has been a relatively smooth road for me. It may of been a little bumpy at first but what new business doesn’t? As time has passed everything is falling into place and I couldn’t be more excited for the future. I have been able to find wonderful clients that allow me to share my creativity and knowledge with them and that’s all I could ask for.

Interior Plant Concepts is an all-inclusive interior plant service. We specialize in designing, installing and maintaining indoor plants for all types of clients. Our clients include high rise apartments with a few plants, single-family homes with multiple plants and designs around their home. We also service commercial clients that include event spaces, hotel lobbies, and office spaces.
I’m most proud of the service we provide to our clients. We always strive to give 5-star service to our clients, by providing them with the best customer service and best products available.
Interior Plant Concepts believes our customers deserve the best possible service available. We go above and beyond our client’s needs and will work with them until they are 110% satisfied with their service.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Dallas is a great city. From the great dining options to amazing shopping there’s something for everyone. I really enjoy how Dallas is always evolving and outdoing itself.
Traffic is the least thing I like about Dallas. But I think a lot of people would agree with me on that lol.
