Meet Kaash Paige

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaash Paige.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas and I’m 18 years old! I’ve been doing music since I was a kid, but I never really took it serious. I was more into sports & not very consistent with music, my sophomore year in high school is when I wanted to drop my first song which was a rap song called Skrilla by me and my friend Josiah.

We called ourselves Fooly gang lol, when we dropped the song the school went crazy everybody in the halls was telling us the song went so hard etc., that built me up courage to make a singing song. I remember this day like it was yesterday but I was vacuuming listening to Doja cat – no police & said I have to make a remix of this song but call it DND. So I told my dad and immediately started jotting down lyrics in my notes we recorded the song and as I posted snippets on my snap I automatically knew it was a hit, that song put me on the map for music. I was put on hot 97 the box in Houston I knew I was destined for greatness, as time passed by I dropped a few songs from here to there but my parents got a divorce so my love for music decreased.

My dad had a studio set up in the house so it was easy to record but when they separated I couldn’t anymore, it wasn’t a passion. My junior summer I knew I wanted to be a star my senior year so I applied to this school called Phoenix so that I can graduate early at the age of 17 two months into my senior year, and changed my stage name from “KAASH” to “Kaash Paige” that’s around the time I started getting real serious with music my name was in all types of blogs as my journey continues I’ve met with so many different labels and been hit up by so many different labels and I can say that I’m very much blessed! This has became a passion again and my love for music will continue to grow and I’ll continue to grow with it.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Mental health & my anxiety growing up I’ve always been a overthinker I started to make music for the people instead of myself and that’s not how it’s suppose to be, I started making music because of me not others, and being on stage my anxiety would flare up but I’m real use to it now.

Alright – so let’s talk business. What else should we know about your work?
Kaash Paige Is my business and my brand, I’m proud of the young lady I’m becoming and who I’m surrounded with, I hope to change lives Kaash means “Kill All Arrogance Stop Hatred”.

I’ve never been a fan of arrogant people because growing up I thought so many people were better than me because of what they had on or who they hung out with, which caused self hate I wanted to be like them so bad, when being YOU is the best & the Real.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I’m going to say it’s been a lot of ups and downs just because I didn’t have the support system like I wanted, I remember my mother always wanted me to get a job lol and the day I told her she’ll see why I don’t want to get a job, Def Jam hit up my manager the next day trying to fly us out so that was truly a blessing and good luck on my end That’s why 777 is tatted on my neck it’s inner strength and believing I am the chosen one because I’ve never had confidence.
