Thanks for sharing your story with us Kionta. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Growing up, I always had very sensitive skin. My face breaks out of the smallest amount of chemicals.
Throughout my working days, I worked for very shallow companies and makeup was required. So, day after day, I would wear makeup and I loved it. During my pregnancy, I didn’t have the energy to wear makeup and be a slave to beauty; being so used to wearing makeup, I was insecure without it. I knew I had to get my skin back together.
I suffered from sun spots and hyperpigmentation.
I didn’t start this business with skincare, I started by selling hair extensions and that business is still doing well but Skin Care is where my heart is.
SIMPLI Skin Care started in my kitchen. I was in dying need of a product to even my skin tone. I created a mask and creams and became obsessed. Constantly trying to improve my formula. I realized I needed help because I was making products so organic they wouldn’t last a shelf.
If I wanted this to go far, I had to find a lab to help me create a formula. My skin care line is launching the summer of 2019. With three products, charcoal mask, vitamin c serum, and a hydrating moisturizer.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has definitely been a rocky road just dealing with my own emotions. I decided I would be fearless and put myself out there unapologetically. Sometimes, you just have to go for it and put your faith in God.

Simpli Skin Care is all about clean beauty and embracing your natural beauty. We want to make women glow.
All of our products are vegan, cruelty-free, silicone free, paraben free, gluten free, talc free, and sulfate free. We are an eco-friendly brand.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In the next 5-10 years, the line will have expanded tremendously. We are starting with the essentials but there’s much more to come.
Simpli Skin Care will be a multi-million dollar brand.
The beauty industry is evolving and we plan on embracing the change and technology.
