Today we’d like to introduce you to JoAnne Howell.
JoAnne, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Oh Goodie Designs started as an in-home party favor and party planning company. Making and delivering custom party favors grew into planning weddings, to large and corporate events. Today, we plan corporate events for The Bend Magazine, Cinnamon Shore Port Aransas, The Texas State Aquarium, plus many amazing clients.
We have also been featured in many industry forums such as Martha Stewart Weddings, People Magazine, Women’s Day just to name a few. We have also created products for Anthropolgie, BHLDN, and Free People as well as One Hope Wine.
Our attention to detail as well as clients’ needs and wants sets us apart from the pack. We eat, sleep and breathe your event until the last event breath. We love bringing our clients’ ideas to life. Creating, designing and managing events is our passion.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
More or less, it has been pretty smooth. Being in a small city can be a challenge, but we love working to provide better possibilities for our clients.

We are a full-service event company. Designing, coordinating and planning events large or small. We are known for our attention to detail and professional and lively attitude. I believe making friends with our clients is a top priority.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I loved to entertain. I was the one the family that was always helping in the kitchen and or planning the family holiday dinner. I am still that girl. As a little girl, I always had a coloring book and crayons in my hand as well as play dough or Fashion Plates.
I was on the shy side young, so growing into a confident and outgoing event planner has been a fun road.
