Zach Carson and Steve Parker worked together at multiple other merchant services providing companies. They realized that the other companies were drastically overcharging the customers that they were supposed to be helping. So, in 2016, Zach and Steve took $53 and opened Praetorian Payments together as 50/50 owners. Their sole goal was to provide a low cost, high service option to the credit card processing industry. Praetorian’s primary goal was to beat the competition through aggressive advertising, free equipment, point of sale systems, eCommerce, internet gateways and mobile payment solutions. Since their conception, Praetorian has grown to a nationwide company, with offices in four states, hundreds of staff across the entire country and processing over $70 million dollars a month.
Zach Carson was one of the original founders of Praetorian Payments. Zach started in this industry in 2014 working for various other merchant service providers in management roles. His degree is in American History and Political Science from the University of Texas. His previous experience as a president of operations for multiple night clubs and the fact that he is a combat veteran, who was among the initial invasion force of Iraq have assisted him in both dedication to serve and the desire to be the best in the industry.
Steve Parker was one of the original founders of Praetorian Payments. Steve has been in the electronic payment industry for almost 30 years. His experience has assisted Praetorian in the catapult of success they have had through the focus of customer service and truly increasing the experience that merchants have when they deal with Praetorian. He began in electronic payments by assisting in the design of specialized ATM machines that are still used today. He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Texas Tech University.
