Meet Miya Brown of Networking Queens Marketing Group in Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Miya Brown.

Miya, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’ve always been told I had a gift of bringing people together, naturally, I always attracted people and loved the Industry of entertainment. Almost twenty years ago, my first year at Clark Atlanta University, I was mentored and gained knowledge from Mase, his wisdom influenced me as a woman years later. Also, the wisdom and guidance from former entertainment publicist Tracey New, who throughout my career made an impact on how to do business. I started doing different marketing gigs and eventually as a young wife and mother, I had the opportunity to book artists through a lady named Mya Richardson out of New York for Music Group Ent. the South West Region. For a few years. Later, I took some time off raising my two daughters. Still evolving, doing freelance writing for different mags. However, five years ago, being a visionary, I knew I wanted to focus on creating a platform to create an outlet for entrepreneurs. Specifically minorities, I love creating and hosting. Event production and branding is what I specialize in. 2018, I started my business Networking Queens Marketing Group. I focus on providing an atmosphere that allows women who have their own business to come together and network. Now, I’ve expanded to Houston Texas, and Los Angeles working with not only women but men too; who are driven, and ambitious business owners. My goal is to help brand growing businesses, as well as host various events throughout the world that allows people to not only network but build business relationships. I also do one on one consultations for entrepreneurs to create a wider audience through social media marketing.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s been challenging and fun. Anytime you have a vision and passion with your goals, you will definitely hit some storms. I’m a mother first. My oldest daughter Faith is a freshman in college and my daughter Jada, a sophomore in high school. It’s just us three, so they witness my determination and struggle to create a business where it excels. I worked two jobs in 2017 and 2018. My corporate job and a side hustle, my first two events, I paid for the venue, my hosts, it was worth it, now within a year, my business is growing. I used my gift of networking and building relationships where now; sponsors are really interested in my company and want to work with Networking Queens.
