Meet Bethany Peysen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bethany Peysen.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Bethany. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I grew up in a small town, in a class of 50, with a troubled childhood involving parents with addictions and all that comes with that plus more. I had bigger dreams for myself. I dedicated almost all of my free time to sports. I moved to the metroplex when I was 20 for better career opportunities where I started at John Peter Smith Hospital full time in a surgery clinic while I went to school online full time as well. While being my families backbone I decided it was time to take a step back and work on me and what I wanted for my career which led me to living in Denver for a year, where I completed my online Bachelor’s degree.

Once it began dropping in the negatives I decided it was time to head back to the sunshine in DFW. With all the moving around in such a short period of time fitness helped keep me in shape and sane. The one challenging thing I dealt with consistently is meeting new people and meeting new people with similar, fitness interests. It was in 2016 I began working on what was the app “Gym Collab.” It is an iOS app that brings people together in their same areas who are interested in working out with a partner no matter what kind of workouts they are into and no matter their level of fitness.

The app later changed to “Fit Collab” and launched in late 2018. It can also be used for those who travel and are looking for people to work out with. Prior to launching the app, I launched www.Accountabilityaddict.com that pairs with the app as far as accountability and offers free resources to help hold yourself accountable as well as nutrition coaching. As we grow further the app will soon be available on the android platform.

Has it been a smooth road?
The main struggles along the way have been primarily time, marketing dollars, and locating some specific resources. Fit Collab is 100% developed and owned by me. @fitunicorn007

We’d love to hear more about your work.
The Fit Collab app and my website www.AccountabilityAddict.com which offers a blog, ebooks (free and paid), and nutrition coaching to help train my clients to learn how to eat healthier long term so they don’t always have to rely on me to push and educate them on what is best for their nutrition based on their goals. This allows for them to eventually be able to trust themselves to chose the correct foods to fuel their body with on their own.
