Today we’d like to introduce you to Jameon Hardeman.
Jameon, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was a college graduate looking for a career from one job to another and just started back helping my mother again at the bbq place. To give her a day off and for me to earn some quick cash as well for gas money, etc to keep going to job interviews. As time continues my uncle got sick for a long time and I had just picked up his days to keep helping my mom. After a time he came back but we were in the process of opening a new location so I helped open the new location. As time continue my mom held a meeting on September 1, 2013, and said that through demand and hard work that I was now taking over our location on Westmoreland full time as owner/manager and she would be owner/manager of kiest the new location.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has been good days and bad as any business owner knows from fire Marshall trying close us down over blueprints, from the city working on the street that blocks the driveway to enter the parking lot to equipment going out and training good staff and finding employees that you can trust.

We are known for bbq and soul food. I own and manage the location off of Westmoreland. At our location, we are known for baked potatoes, nachos, brisket, ribs, wings. I’m proud because the nachos and wings are two of the things I have come up with that has been a success inside of the business that we didn’t have before. What sets us apart from other bbq we can make any food that you would like to cater from breakfast to seafood to bbq to soul food to finger foods we can really do it all.

- You can pretty much get any sandwich and a side for 10 dollars.
- Our larger size order range from 12 to 20.
