Today we’d like to introduce you to Charles Williams.
Charles, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started out by learning to prepare my own taxes. I took a course at H&R Block in 2002.
I completed the course and went on to work for them for one tax season in the same year. I didn’t like the format or the working environment at H&R Block and though I could this. In 2003, I started the process of opening my own tax company.
I was a manager with the United States Postal Service and in my spare time I perfected my skills and knowledge to becoming not only a tax preparer but a tax advocate. I worked from the concept that the tax industry was over charging and not being personable with the potential clients. My marketing tool was word of mouth, if I did a good job at a fair price people would spread the word “Tax2Go” was and is the place to go to have your taxes prepared. I now service over 700 clients and mentored other young professionals whom have the desire to start their own tax business. In 2016, I started the Entrepreneur’s Scholarship Program. A non-profit organization to assist low income families with students desiring to further their education and becoming entrepreneur’s in their own right. Tax2Go, where we keep God First and take care of the least of His people.
Has it been a smooth road?
My struggle was financial. I am a veteran and obtaining a small business loan was not easy to say the least. I invested my own money and through a slow but steady process, I built my company.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Tax2Go story. Tell us more about the business.
Tax2Go is a God based business, where we keep God First and take care of the least of His people. We specialize in Federal and State tax preparation, Bookkeeping and Tax Advocacy for our clients. The company’s values and principals can be encapsulated in four words: Professionalism, Integrity, Excellence, Responsiveness.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The next 5 year-10 year is left up to Congress and how they view the Tax Laws. Tax2Go plan to keep pace and continue to provide a quality service at a fair price.
