Growing up, I was always sure of who I wanted to be. I wanted to work in fashion! I was very into makeup and clothes; I use to make clothes for my Barbie dolls. I have always been plus size and it was hard to find trendy clothes in my size that fit my style. I had to really search for cute stuff and style them to fit my aesthetic. For years, I’ve been trying to figure out a way I can bring my two passions of helping people and fashion together; friends and family would always ask me advice on how they can put outfits together and feel confident in themselves. Even though it is kind of cliche to say I had to fake it until I actually started to believe it. Through helping my friends and family, I knew I wanted to do this on a larger scale! Very soon, I will be launching my freelance makeup and styling business where I’ll do clients’ makeup and help style their outfit for their events! Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My journey definitely hasn’t been smooth due in part to my lack of motivation and the inability to just take a leap of faith. Even though I would consider myself a confident person, I do sometimes compare my success to others, which sometimes would make me forget how passionate I am about what I’m doing. This is something I’m constantly working on! I just remind myself how great I feel when I post a video on my YouTube or post a pic on Instagram and someone tells me that it’s inspiring to them.

I am a fashion and beauty content creator! I post videos and pictures on YouTube and Instagram! My mission is to inspire women to feel confident in themselves through fashion, beauty and travel! I specialize in styling and makeup! I was a stylist and merchandiser for a well-known department store for about eight years! What sets me apart is my passion and drive! I’m always looking for new and creative ways to show my content. I’ve been getting lots of requests from people to do their makeup so I’m in the process of launching my freelance business where I’d be doing clients makeup and offering styling and photography sessions! What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moment was when I uploaded my first YouTube video! I was so nervous and scared, but I took that leap of faith! I got a message on Facebook later that day from someone I hadn’t spoken to in years and she told me she feels blessed that she knows me! I cried.
